Actually I lost the point that was being discussed LOL but I'm just throwing out what I can dig up. I think any deal in which you buy a player, and sell him for double (or more) of the amount isn't too bad a thing.

One point though, which I'm not sure is valid or not, is the possibility in some cases where we might actually be selling players for higher fees but also paying part of the player's wages at the new club.

To make life easier, you'll have to know the season the player arrived, and the season he left.

While he was with us I thought at times (especially in the Europa League) he showed a bit of ability and a willingness to work hard, and was a bit unlucky not to get more opportunities given the squad we had then. Now, though, we're after a different and rather higher class of player.
