Striker poll

Assuming Isak is not available, which striker would you sign?

Not hyped by any given the prices advertised. I'm torn between Sesko and Gyokeres but went with Sesko because of his age and potential, although I think there's an argument that given the creativity of Wirtz and Salah in the final third then an out an out finisher like Gyokeres could do well for the next 2-3 years.

Ekitike is overpriced because he's an Isak lite and looking at the early voting, I'm not combined the site is full clued up on what a nightmare Osimhen is. He's clashed with people at every club he's been at, and on intermational duty. Given Slots bluntness, it would happen here in about ten seconds. I'll be surprised if the club have given him a second thought.

Probably Gyokeres. He looks like a quality finisher at least.

I actually think we'll get Isak, though. I think it's clear we want him and I can't see why we'd even be entertaining it if we didn't have close to enough money for it.

I saw the vid of ekitike's last 60 shots that someone posted.

No thanks. Nunez lite, shite.

Hope we get him and i eat humble pie though.

Gyokeres is solid. Holds the ball up and can put it in the back of the net. With Salah Gakpo and Flo feeding him, he's our man

I still have doubts about Gyokeres' ability translating to the Premier League but now that we've added a world class creator in Wirtz, having a deadly finisher makes more sense to me than a more versatile attacker who is likely to score less like Ekitike. So I voted Gyokeres, but I don't really have a strong feeling about any of them.

Osimhen would probably be my choice if he's willing to press from the front. Less worried about his personality.

I would focus on another tricky attacking midfielder/winger and then play four out of Salah, Wirtz, Diaz, Gakpo, and new signing and ball the living daylights out of opposition. I am more inclined to try out Anthony Gordon as a number 9 for a season than spend 100 million on the number nine alternatives available this summer.

Sesko - best combo of current ability and future potential on that list IMO. If the Arse get him he'll instantly make them genuine challengers.

This may change some people's mind

Former Liverpool forward, El-Hadji Diouf wants to see Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen join the Reds to help form a strong partnership with Egypt star, Mohamed Salah.

Osimhen, who is contracted to Serie A powerhouse Napoli, has courted massive interest from a number of European clubs with Manchester United, Juventus and European champions Paris Saint-Germain reportedly chasing his signature.

Diouf, who played for Liverpool between 2002 and 2004 with a loan spell at Bolton Wanderers in between those three seasons, believes Osimhen can form a solid connection with Salah which will be identical to the years of Sadio Mane’s.

“I am convinced that it could work, that these two players could be complementary. I would like to see this duo form,” Diouf told Africa Foot.

“Mohamed Salah had an exceptional season, finishing top scorer in the Premier League, and he played an important part in the conquest of the title. Osimhen finished top scorer in the Turkish championship. They are two footballers with different characteristics, but who could very well get along.”

“I remember the Mo Salah–Sadio Mané association, which worked very well. I think the Salah–Osimhen duo could do just as well!”

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane formed a rock-solid partnership that tormented defenders in the English Premier League and Europe.

Salah scored 29 goals in 38 matches to be crowned top scorer of last season’s English Premier League with Victor Osimhen netting 26 times in 30 games in last season’s Turkish Super Ligue to claim the Golden Boot.

I voted Gyokeres because it would annoy Arsenal fans. I've never seen any of them but even if they're equal ability to Nunez I'd rather have a change, because his confidence is knocked and it would do both parties good to have a change there.

Looking at Nunez playing in Portugal I'm thinking he might thrive again with a blank slate in a different league with the pressure reduced, so it's best all round.

I do think Nunez looks a different player ina different league. Damage has been done and he's never recovered the confidence, which is odd considering supporters have (mostly) supported him even at his lowest.

We did everything we could to make him thrive
