I gave multiple options. I was looking at players who would add substantially to the transfer fund. You'd need to sell all 3 to do thatWhy is Nat, Cj and Matip a single option? Too obvious
For discussion purposes, yeah you can, would like to know why though, unless you're being facetious? Can we sell Darwin too?

I'm going to put this here and then make a run for it.
There are very few players in the squad who we could sell for decent money and not have to rush out and buy anyone. Alisson is one of those people.
I'm not saying Kelleher is better. I'm not saying Kelleher is good enough for a top 4 team. But he might be good enough for the squad at the moment, and he might continue to develop if we play him.
Every other person on this poll would need replaced (apart from Nat), and we'd be doing extremely well to replace them at a profit (which is the entire point of this exercise as the midfield needs an enormous injection of cash/talent).
I think there is an easier market for Kelleher to be honest.
Who would be signing Alisson for the sort of money we'd be willing to let him go for (e.g. record fee or close to it) ?
Problem is, and maybe you disagree, 20m is a drop in the ocean compared to what we need.We got 12.5m for Danny ward, double that doesn’t seem unreasonable?
If that’s the case I’d rather keep Allison and attempt a sell on clause with Kelleher as well.
How much do you think we get for Kelleher? Surely we get £40-£50m for Allison.
I'd be hoping for something in the region of 30M for Kelleher.
You'd really sell Alisson for 40M?
Tielemans - FreeI think we need 3 midfielders and currently don't have the resources to do it, unless we manage to get extremely lucky with some bargain basement signings that turn out to be amazing. It might be possible to get away with 2 if we have no European games, but we'd still be hoping to get lucky with injuries.
The only players we could sell and not have to replace is Nat and maybe CJ, and neither are going to bring in much money. Jota/Dias would bring in decent money, but would be difficult to replace for cheap.
We've also held on to players too long recently. Alisson is 30, and although keepers typically last a bit longer at the top level it also probably means we'd have a bigger chance of getting a decent fee.
So all I'm asking is, pragmatically speaking, Is Kelleher + a better midfield > Allisson + a worse midfield
Obviously it's all based on the assumption we don't have a bunch of worldies lined up, and we don't have a massive budget.
Just been watching extended highlights of Netherlands v France. van Dijk is a pale shadow of the beast we once had. I’m thinking the injury really did rob him of something because he looked hesitant and slow.

None
You would sell literally none of these players? None at all? Not under any circumstances?
Our squad is wafer thin if we want to compete with City. You would sell literally none of these players? None at all? Not under any circumstances?
As usual you’ve been proved laughable wrong when you stated you’d have nobody in the Newcastle squad. He’s waiting for some Newcastle “stars” to come on the market, then the Liverpool squad will be culled in a heartbeat to make way for generational talents like Ryan Fraser & Jamal Lewis.

Sure not all of them have hit the same heights but many of them are performing at the level that would elevate us greatly.
