Sunlit Uplands

Perhaps these delusional idiots ought to read the comically stupid withdrawal agreement they signed. Taxes aren't going lower and we'll end up paying some juicy damages to the EU if we dare try it. Almost like we never really left.

In many ways fair play to Sunak, you're well on the way to being a Billionaire..you have a stupid amount of money. You'd think maybe he'd take the time to travel, get a yatch and sit off the coast of the bahamas or just live a life of travelling partying and generally enjoying life.
Instead ya man is out here paying for petrol as a cheap stunt while fucking up using a contactless card.

Like, what I wana know is what is the real motivation there.

Attention basically.

She was the most outlandishly crazy one, to me at least.
Sunak top again.
The thing is the blue rinse party faithful who will have the final say, with an average age in their 70s, hate dishy Rishi. More Pishy Rishy from their perspective.

Penny Deodorant is a woke lefty liberal snowflake, apparently.

So, it's just going to go to whoever is the most rabid then.

The great thing about this race is that they're all cunts and none of them will get a grip of what's going on in the real world which lead to more resignations, votes of non confidence more infighting, they're literally gonna turn on each other and tear each other apart. It'll be glorious. Strap yourselves in, grab the popcorn because they're gonna implode and we are gonna have the best seats to watch it.

I don't want them to implode or rip each other apart. I want a competent government who is bothered about the numerous issues we have facing the country at the moment.
This isn't even a haha point and laugh while the world burn, cos we'll end up burning also.

We've had too much greed and focus on non issues while reality is causing people real issues in life and people have not been supported through those issues.

You won’t get it from any of these fuckers.

All you’ll get is more Brexit Balls - because they can never admit what a colossal fuck up it was - and even the hint of softening the stance on Europe will send fuckwits like Baker & Francois into a rage.

They’ll have to deliver tax cuts - which will inevitably lead to Austerity 2.0 as essential services get curbed - with the easy win being freezing public service wages in the midst of a cost of living crisis.

The rabid right will start wanging on about privatising whatever’s left - health, Police, whatever - while also filling their own personal coffers in the process.

Somewhere in the middle of all that, while Boris is on overseas speaking tours telling everyone how fucking great he was at getting all the big calls right, it’ll finally dawn on everyone how empty & meaningless the phrases “get Brexit done”, “levelling up” and whatever the next slogan actually is.

I’m not saying Starmer is necessarily any better.

It's become all about ideological purity, unfortunately. I know it's tories talking to tories, but no-one is capable of moving beyond positions, because positions are the thing that matter. Same thing happened under Corbyn. You no longer had to make the case as to why your positions would result in things being better. That's why none of the candidates can explain how they'd pay for tax cuts. It's why they can't make the case for a smaller state. The members demand purity of ideology, otherwise you're not a proper tory. Had the same thing with RINOs in the US. Had the same thing within Momentum and their demand to deselect MPs and their hatred of centrist Labour MPs. You have to align to a particular ideology; that's now become pretty much the only thing that matters.

EDIT: I don't how that ends. I sort of assume that it's one of those phases whereby someone non-ideological, more pragmatic and responsive will come into power, sweep up in the process and then everyone else will try to be like that. I dunno if that's Starmer; probably not, because he doesn't seem to have any idea other than trying not to upset people who might not vote for him.

Tend to find Martin Lewis usually spot on with financial advice and info. Seems everything is a bit doomsday but for those who can it's worth preparing and trying to ensure we're as ready as possible for the upcoming increase in cost of living.

If the people could barely grasp basic stuff to do with infection rates, I don't know what they think will happen now that they're suddenly worried about their finances? It won't end well, but hey ho follow the financial advice. Trust the financial advice, it is safe and effective, they're experts after all, or something.

Personally, my financial advice was to elect trump, leave with no deal, not start wars, and respond to greta with hysterical laughter. So 0/4 doesn't leave much recovery room now if I'm being honest. Good luck.

I agree - I don’t know how your opinion can ever recover from those bad suggestions.

Ok… maybe the No War thing was a good idea - but you forget to mention it to Vlad the Mad.
