Sunlit Uplands

As a PM or Tory leader?
Can’t see it as a PM, Labour or Lib Dem win is more likely at the next GE than any Tory return if Rishi doesn’t do any better.

There’s a chance he’ll not keep his Parliamentary seat unless he’s dropped in to a safer one.

So what’s the view on Rishi, where does he place on the spectrum of awfulness?

More sensible than many in the party, but not exactly down-to-earth. Clearly, he’s intelligent and understands economics much better than both Truss and the lettuce, despite being the sort of weirdo that probably spent his teenage years in his bedroom wanking over pictures of Margaret Thatcher.

2 red flags for me - he voted for Brexit and he doesn’t drink…..

…. I mean apart from the wanking over pictures of Thatch… obviously.

The problem is, he’s kind of boxed in - given the state of the economy, he’s got to get a handle on inflation, which likely means higher interest rates and then get a handle on Government debt - which really only means either higher taxes or a cut in public spending.

I think we can safely presume, increasing taxes isn’t likely to be the first choice, so say hello to austerity 2.0 and goodbye to levelling up.

Trouble is, Labour will have the same problem to deal with.

My own view he is a robot and has no care for most of the general population.
He will likely make the right choice on numbers and what needs to be done but that will most likely to be at the cost of most of the country.

Smart man and defintely a positive of what can be achieved in modern Britain but he is best of a very bad bunch of Tories. He will be celebrated by many as glass ceiling broken purely on race and the pure trolling alone based on that is fun for a few weeks especially on Diwali but there will be nothing revolutionary about his policies or what he stand for. In fact if I didn’t have a TV, and been only used to his sound clips, would have thought it was one of Mogg’s children.

I personally can’t stand his manner and the way he constantly plays up to maintain his rise but I guess that’s just poltics in general too.

Guy Hands was William Hague's bezzie at university and chairman of the Oxford Tories etc. Not exactly some loonie lefty

You can't actually get in the room for the elephant. There's elephant shit everywhere. They're sitting under a massive elephant cock, but they're not allowed to mention it.

So true. We're all being slapped round the chops with massive elephant cock but nobody seems to have plan to sort it out, nobody is talking about it and the bellends who voted for it still remain in denial. Read a great tweet the other day saying at least Italy and Greece had good food - we're going through all this with beans on toast

The tweet I seen said at least they have good food, better weather and more attractive women.

I had to mention this on account of being married to a Greek woman...

Yeah that's mostly true. Until the women age, grow moustaches and turn into leather rucksacks
When that happens, you're an old boy anyway so it's no different from a blue rinser with bingo wings you see at the bus stop outside Iceland.

It's a long time until the next election and Labour are pretty awful at winning them. I don't think it's a sure thing that the Tories won't form the next government. But, I suspect Boris will be ready to come in as leader after the next election.

Assuming Boris gets through his standards enquiry, if whoever takes over crashes and burns, Boris will probably fancy his chances of making a comeback again within the next 2 years.

If the new PM manages to survive, and can resist pressure for a general election, I can't see Boris being around in parliament after the next election.

I suspect he will be long bored of being an MP by then. He will be making lots of money elsewhere and will probably stand down.

If the Tories lose the next election and there is a vacancy again I couldn't see Boris at the age of 60 being bothered about being leader of the opposition for 4 or 5 years.

He's very pro-crypto, which basically translates into being pro-CBDCs aka Orwellian WEF puppet and with central banks across Europe, especially the UK, facing the biggest debt and liquidity crisis in modern history, CBDCs is inevitable and only a matter of when, and not if. Credit Suisse is only the tip of the iceberg.

Imagine a world where you can only buy and sell if you've got enough carbon credits and social credit on your digital profile. And the currency you pay is in CBDCs and Big Brother watches everywhere you go.

To put it simply, you're all royally screwed. Plus, he's an ex Goldman Sachs guy, who are as corrupt as hell, hedge fund tycoon and you can never trust the hedge fund fellas. Good luck.

Apparently Rishi’s a Star Wars fan!!!!!

I think we can be pretty certain he’s not part of a Rebel Alliance and a traitor.

He did just tell the rest of the Tory Party to effectively “join me or die”.” And I would be surprised is his supporters talk about “making the Empire Great Again …. MEGA!!!”

I beginning to think he masterminded this “economic event” to take power.

I’d be keeping an eye on any big capital expenditure programs, particularly around “defence” and if he tries to put through something called “Bill 66”, I’d suggest moving to the desert planet of Oztrailyaa!

All in all… I don’t expect Wookies, etc can expect an improvement in immigration opportunities to the “Empire” and god help you if you subscribe to any ancient religions different from his.
