Wonder how much we are holding out for?

Imagine we are happy to send him out and let Gordan take the minutes.

Maybe Monaco are interested in a player (Minamino) plus cash deal for Aurelien Tchouameni...one can only hope 🙂

Or Leeds can give us Raphina for Mini + cash.

Zero chance… but one can hope.

.... but we have no cash, we don't even have buttons

Ok… Mini + feelings of eternal gratitude and warmly held respect for Raphina.

Hopefully that’ll do it!!!

Always wanted mini to do well, I hear a lot seem to rate him, he’s scored some goals we’ve been grateful for..but sadly In my opinion he’s just not that good..

Edit; and Klopp appears to really like him, that’s thrown me at times

Well - if we want to sign any other non-homegrown players in the summer - we need to shift someone as we’re at 17.

Loaning Phillips means we’re only registering 23 players for the EPL - 6 HGPs - which means if Phillips is moved on in the summer - we have 2 HGP slots open without having to move anyone else on.

(Working on the basis that Woodbury isn’t coming back either).

Jones has another season as an U21 before he needs to be registered.

Again, with Milner possibly retiring, I can’t see us selling Gomez and Ox, certainly not in the same window - because we’d be down to 4 out of 8 HGP slots.

Adrian is also probably off, which would open up an overseas slot and I’d be all for signing a veteran HGP keeper.

Technically Minamino looks very good. You can see he's bulked up a bit too.

I think he's one of those players who needs a run of games to truly see the best of him.

Watched Grizz Khan's show, and he had a guest who claims to know Gomez. Claims Gomez isn't happy about the lack of playing opportunities, and if things remain (as they are now), he will be pushing for a move in the summer.

Ah well… at least we can rely on Ben Davies to come back and fill the void.

He has done okay job coming off the bench besides he keeps us relevant in Japan. So its not a bad thing him not going. His physique lets him down and along with Curtis Jones, Neco (if he wants to stay at the club), Morton and Gordon need spend time on weights and protein shake

It’s worse than that, he doesn’t know how to use the frame he already has. He skips “learn how to win the ball back” day every day.

The Japanese Smicer.

It's actually not far from the truth. We've seen a few who've clearly had talent but just didn't fit the club and/or the league - Cheyrou, Aquilani, Markovic, Smicer, Morientes.

You win some, you lose some. We win most these days, so we can't really complain too much about a 8.5m gamble that didn't pay off. I like him, he seems a good sort, he's just not got that physique and edge we need. Especially with the high energy pressing game we play. He's not going to start bulking up and finding that energy in his late 20's.

Agreed, and it would be nice if, like Smicer, he could play his part in a Champions League win as a farewell.
