I just want to say something really quickly:
I was going through a really bad spell in 2011 in my life. My job wasn't great, my mom had cancer, and I was completely burnt-out. Anyway, my best friend decided to get me out for a night to watch Doctor Who, and I started to forget all of my issues.
Since I'm a huge sports fan, I decided to give soccer a try. I literally asked my friends on Facebook and Twitter for suggestions, and it came down to Liverpool and Chelsea. I decided to watch a Liverpool game, and as soon as I heard YNWA, I knew I was in love. The only time my dad and I were not fighting was when we were watching Carousel, and it was the only good memory I have of him.
Since then, this team has just meant so much to me. Mom's better, but through the good and bad, we had Liverpool. As someone from Philadelphia, I know what it's like to be passionate, but I'm not always sure you guys know how special you're relationship with the team is. Especially when you cheer them on when they're losing - it just says so much about the town and the fanbase.
This year was amazing, and exciting, and, yes, even heart-breaking, but the love between the team and the fans stayed strong.
I just wanted to thank this team, and all of you, because you've given me so much by just being you.
