The Donkey

He's going to win us a cup, I feel it in my bones

We really need to cut this bullshit out about the fans seeing him as a cut hero, Erik Meier is another prime example, absolute shite. Your one job is to score goals and work your bollocks off for the team. Anything else is just insignificant. Man needs deporting straight away.
I understand fans want to "support" him, but chanting "NUNEZ, NUNEZ, NUNEZ" for shit pieces of play, makes me feel like we've enabled his stagnation in some ways.

Not saying I want to hear boos or jeers, but certainly we shouldn't still be chanting his name for winning a throw in, after 3 seasons.

The guy is also a walking liability. His challenge on De Ligt might have been seen as a red card by another referee.

Can we offer Newcastle 50m + the donkey for Isak?

He gave Saliba and Gabriel a torrid time today.

As he did with VVD and Gomez.

A proper CF. Pace, power, technique, driibbling, skill and finishing.

That's what we thought we were getting when we signed Nunez.

We cannot afford him sadly and Newcastle are well off enough to not need to sell him.
But if we want to win this league we could just get a decent striker and some midfield support.

Also looking at Newcastle tonight, their LB and RB looked solid, none of that shit we have to worry about each and every game.

They still are close to needing to sell again

Would you consider loaning him at this point? Try to rebuild his value?
No. If the Milan loan with obligation to buy rumour had been true I'd have done that deal, but we need to get rid. He's had enough time, it's not going to happen for him here. Especially with a coach like Slot who needs intelligent players to adapt to his tactical fluidity. Darwin lacks the footballing intelligence to succeed at the very top level.

Yep - to be honest he is like a hulk head - the only thing you can say to him is "Darwin - Smash/Chaos" - they are the only tactical instructions he would understand.

Agree completely.

What I meant was, if a permanent deal (or loan with obligation to buy) weren't available in January, would you consider a loan in advance of a permanent sale this summer?

No. Because I don't think that loan would work out, and seeing him under-perform somewhere else would damage his (already limited) value.
We'll only get a decent fee if someone thinks he did well in Portugal and there was just something about Liverpool that didn't work for him. At this stage we need someone to look at him the way we looked at Balotelli - maybe we'll be the ones to unlock the potential.
The only way I'd agree to a loan is if there were an obligation to buy.

He should be given more game time then he get, and to be frank passed to more often than he is. Think that gets me is the ball will be moving forward and he will make a a run then the ball is held up for no good reason

I wouldn’t be surprised if Chelsea come in for him and decide to move on from Nkunku, who, funnily enough, was the player the data analysts wanted instead of Núñez. Personally, I think AC Milan would be the best option as I'd rather not have to see him again.

If we can get anything over £45 million, we’ve got to take it. Hopefully, the loss on the books isn’t as bad as it looks, especially if the big add-ons haven’t been triggered yet.

That said, it sounds like AC Milan might be more interested in taking Rashford on loan.

He actually made a difference up front, the front guys a worrying me, its like they all finished their jobs for the year against West Ham and now they cannot be arsed. Fuck Them all we need some signings to freshen up the attack.

For some unknown reason, after all these years, I STILL find it utterly ludicrous how quickly this place goes into complete f#$@ing meltdown, over two poor performances, having just witnessed the best start to the season that anybody, in all of Europe has had. We expected to be battling for 4th place when the season began, but suddenly it's "Fuck 'em all! Everything is rotten!", because we're only 6 points (potentially 9) clear at the top of the league and we've lost the first leg of the sodding Milk Cup semi-final.

This place is absolutely f#$%ing MENTAL.

Sure, but everyone else bailing out our lack of a proper striker is fine while it works, and it all comes to the surface when it doesn't
