WTF is the point in playing Carra ahead of Coates once again?
In fact what was the point in buying Coates at all when he can't get a game ahead of a 34 year old well past his best?

In fairness Carra was excellent Tuesday night.

Excellent is going overboard when Chelsea rarely troubled our back line because they were shite.

We still have nothing to gain from playing Carra when we could play a 21 year old who we've invested in and needs games to get used to the Prem League. It just doesn't make sense.

Who cares. Its a dead rubber. Is it worth getting vexed about?
Maybe its a chance for one of our greatest players and a club legend to say goodbye? Maybe Coates has a knock?
Why is every fucking thing that happens a reason to have a pop at those at the club authorised to make the actual decisions?
Id play Coates too, but its hardly a cause to burn my fucking 1974 fa cup final programme and hurl it into the dugout.

I still think that Carra will play plenty of games next season, especially seeing as we are in the Europa league

It is because it's a nonsensical move. We paid £7million for Coates and he needs game and this in an ideal game for him to play in.

Maybe there's a lot to complain about that's why. It's not nice reading but it's not far from the truth.

He's the future, Carragher's not.

I doubt he has knock, he was alright to be bench in the others games but I suppose we need Carra's wonderful organisational skills to keep the defence nice and solid...which funnily enough looks much more calm and assured when he's not playing.

Exactly, people read far too much into EVERYTHING. I thought he had a very good game on Tuesday anyway. Why the fuck is one of our club legends who's getting a bit old playing against Swansea City... erm...

He's past it though. Coates needs game time.

Gary is the master at overreacting though.

He can't tell you or it could give his source away. He's PMed me, and I can verify he's right.
