You think Chiesa who wants to play in the world cup will want to stay with us?

Didn't even make the last squad and Arne's excuses have been shit. I've seen players come back from ACL injuries and get fit enough to make the team mid-season.

He's so gone.
 
I don't understand why Slot keeps saying he has a fitness issue. Everytime he has played - I don't see him running out of breath or anything like that, he seems to put the effort in, but just has not been given the chance. That FA cup game - we cannot judge him alone on that game given the way the two strikers were playing that day. Jotta has been playing like he has a hangover all season, and Nunez is Nunez.

And you know what? Every club needs that kind of galvanising figure who isn't pressured by actions on the pitch
 
I think the purpose of the message is just to send a signal that we won't be letting him go on the cheap.
But in fairness to him, if he has been pissed off, and I wouldn't blame him if he were, he hasn't been putting it about in public that that's the case.

Honestly, I respect him tremendously for putting his head down and keeping his mouth shut despite what I think has been appalling treatment. That he hasn't gotten minutes, or even in the squad, after we clinched the title is insane.
 
Yes, Slot has disappointed me here.
Favouritism is natural, but as a leader, you have to try and avoid it.

Give him another season. Not like we're going to get any decent money for him, with cheap Italian sides being his likely market.

We know what he is capable of, we saw it in the Euro's many years ago, he is still young - and I hope Slot works on him this summer to bring him up to speed, and we see the true player he can be. I actually like the way he talks - sounds very intelligent and that can translate to a very good footballing brain overall.
