It starts this year. Their CL revenue will be offset by Grealish's sale no longer counting in their three year tally. That's why they had both Duran and Watkins shopped in January, someone had to go then.

Maybe they'll be ok this summer but they'll be tight and won't be able to invest elsewhere in the squad.

I don't know about his pressing, hold up play and strength on the ball but the rest of it is precisely what's needed from a striker.

Understand that the Italian aspect is a concern but he's IMO he's the type of No9 we need, with the ammo coming from Salah, Wirtz and Diaz/Gakpo.

Why would he comeback to be a "stop gap"? he is getting top wages tax free. Also, if he has acclimatised to Saudi football he may not readjust to the PL. Players have said the English game is the most intense in the world. Lewandowski is a stopgap solution. Kane if he came would almost guarantee trophies

Alvarez isn't £130m player! This season he only scored 17 goals and 4 assists, the previous season it was 11 goals and 9 assists. he is a good player but I don't think he is what we need. However, saying that, the data guys picked out players like Salah, Mane and Robbo which i thought were not Liverpool class. They picked players Klopp passed out on like Isak. So the players we do get I am not going to doubt once they don the red jersey
