So where do you reckon we'll end up?

Given that from next game onwards it's 2 games a week until the end of the season, and only a 2 week break from the end of this season to the start of next season, Klopp may want to rotate the squad more than usual.

I think we may drop points at Chelsea and City but the other fixtures should be pretty comfortable 3 pointers.

That would put us in the 101-105 range.

We should break the record, unless Klopp just wants to use the remaining games as a preseason for next year. I think we will drop points though, so somewhere around 102 - 104, which is quite honestly ridiculous.

I’d love us to fuck city next week. It’ll be like a “don’t even fucking try it” kind of vibe for next season.

Then play the kids but have that view to doing what’s best for next season. Has the start of 20/21 been arranged?

Yea this is what I was getting at. I don't think it'll be as easy as it might have been.

All the other teams will have the same fixture pile up so its not that we are at a specific disadvantage. Brighton, Burnley, Arsenal and Newcastle have nothing to play for so if we are professional we should beat them.

City will obviously want to put down a marker so thats the toughest tie but home advantage means very little now without full stadiums so not as tough a fixture as it might have been. Villa are in a dogfight at the bottom of the table so they will scrap for their lives, but we are miles better than them. Its highly likely that Chelsea will be safely top 4 by the time we get to play them but they will still be a difficult opponent.

I'm sure season finishes by end of July and they are starting season later in early sept. CL and EL to be finished in August. We have at least a month off I reckon

Yeah we're getting the record. None of the teams bar Chelsea and City have shit on us.
And we play Chelsea at home and they've probably secured a CL spot by then.

That article is from Feb 2020 before covid took hold. It's definitely been put back. Talk fa cup will scrap replays to free up extra dates too

I've seen some newspaper speculation but nothing confirmed. Brilliant if it's right.

It's a nice problem to have. I don't mind if we don't get it to be honest. Won the league is all that matters.

15 points from 7 games? Should be able to do that. Especially if City rest players.

But, yeah, don't really care.

Regardless of whether City rest players or not I think we'll still beat them ... no Aguero or Fernandinho and no crowd. If we play anything like we did against Palace we'll take all three.

I also don't believe Klopp, he and all the players will want that record now we are so close. And we'll get it. The perfect boost to begin next season and keep the opposition running scared, a double handful of PL records.

With 5 subs i think we’ll see a lot of predictable starters but early subs as we progress. I think we’ll do 101-102.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I'd rather we spent the luxury of these games to give game time to Keita, Minamino, Elliot, Neco, Origi and Jones. I'm not that hard up about a points total record.

we’ll get both with a game every 3 days
