Sir Alex Ferguson claims Liverpool failed to do their homework before splashing £35million on Andy Carroll.

The striker flopped at Anfield and has struggled to make an impact on loan at West Ham United this season.

Ferguson believes Kenny Dalglish, the Liverpool boss who bought Carroll from Newcastle, gambled too quickly after Fernando Torres’ £50m move to Chelsea.

The Manchester United manager, preparing his team to face West Ham on Wednesday, said: “He’d played not a lot of games for Newcastle and had to deal with a £35m transfer to a club like Liverpool.
“He was young and it was quite a big jump for him for that kind of money. We’ve gambled on young players in the past, a couple of million, something like that.

“But when you get to that level of £35m, you need to do a bit more homework and see how he is in the second season, maybe.

“Now it’s up to the boy to improve himself. He’s a great header of the ball and very aggressive. He’ll be a handful on Wednesday.”

Ferguson suggests inexperience compounded Liverpool’s plight when Brendan Rodgers allowed Carroll to leave before signing a replacement.

“They were after Clint Dempsey, that didn’t work out, and they had done the deal for Carroll,” Fergie said. “Maybe it was something they did not expect.

“With the manager being young, maybe he expected the deal to go through and then it was not there and he had lost a player, too.”

Taking shots at Kenny & Rodgers. What a fucking twat.

It seems like the press have allowed him to carve a pedestal out of his press conferences. If they spend 25 minutes talking about all the things other managers and teams are doing wrong (because Ferguson is such the voice of reason 🙄), there's less time for the possibility that one of the maggots might one day grow a set and ask the ginsoak cunt something he doesn't like.

Didnt the Beeb to that and get banned? He's a massive massive cunt.

I dunno, I know he's banned journos before now. The consensus, in the press, seems to be that he is a power mad, loony old cunt though and that several bans over the years have not been met well (usually because of the petty nature of them). That's why I don't get a few of the big boys not taking a stand.

I'm probably going to get shot down for this - Do we have to use this particular language in a thread title?

Maybye Slur can tell us about how only foreigners dive?

Ferguson has always been dismissive of other Managers whilst forgetting his own mistakes in the transfer market and elsewhere.

He also forgets his own struggles early on at Man U, lest he forget he was close to the sack and had lost much of the support. Remember the banners at OT Alex?

Tell me what did he win last season in comparison with Kenny Dalglish?

First off, I despise the whiskey nosed spunk head, but it's not as if he just brought it up out of the blue. He was asked about a certain player and he gave his opinion. An opinion I'm sure we all actually share.

I feel dirty now

Sir Alex is spot on with his comments. As for Veron - he did cost him quite a bit but had proven himself to be very good when he played in Italy (I think) for more than one season. That buy is not unlike our purchase of Aqualani. I know he is a cunt and what he said is a double dig at past and present manager of LFC but the points he has raised are correct. Brendan does at times appear to show a little inexperience in some of his talk.

"We’ve gambled on young players in the past, a couple of million, something like that."

Wayne Rooney, 30M.

Could we change the auto correct so that every time Sir Alex is posted it's changed to Slur Alex. I feel disgusted seeing people refer to him as a knight of the land, I can't think of anyone less worthy.
