Tiredness.

This league is done. However, last few games I've seen our levels drop a little at the end of games, even Klopp has made comments lately about energy levels. Of course, I trust the team to manage the load and get through but I wonder about things like retaining the CL and going undefeated becasue our energy levels may betray us sometimes in the last third of the season.

This isnt a complaint, Klopp and LFC in general has been amazing so far but the players are only human there might be some games when we won't always be able to dig ou that win because of energy levels.

We've definitely seen some of our team suffering because of it, especially Robertson, but all the teams we're playing are in the same boat. Wolves, for instance have barely rotated.

With some of our midfield returning, those positions should see some rotation which will help a lot. We're also going to have the break coming up, which we are not doing warm weather training during.

We're not? Praise the lord. It has reliably resulted in a dip in form.

Haven't we always had sort of a January-February slump in recent years? Specifically last year, it was during this period that we stringed way too many draws before we went on the winning run that was worthy of winning the league in most seasons- just not last year. We're winning and our injury table is looks to be less occupied so we now have the good problem of deciding who makes the squad and bench. Milner and Lovren are supposed to return soon and that would open the possibility where a couple of senior players not making the bench (Shaq? Minamino? ORIGI?!???)

T is for tired? I thought T is for The Title.
The team played 2 PL games in 17 days, Mane and Salah went to Africa in that time. They play Shrewsbury, on the 26th where we could afford to rest most of the squad that play Wolves

Unlike the run we had last season when we kept loads of cleans sheets, this season we have gifted teams good chances to score. It’s been a miracle they have missed the easy chances.

martial in the last game, son and la celso in the spurs game, the Watford game. I’m sure there are loads of others. On the flip side we continue to be quite wasteful. But hey ho we keep winning and the momentum goes on.

It could be tiredness or could be a bit of luck when you are on a good run and need to win a league. Which we haven’t done yet.

Normally we would be out of sight by 60 minutes. Then the tiredness doesn't matter as we just defend what we've got. The only reason we've looked so leggy recently is that we haven't been putting games to bed early so have had to keep putting in the same effort for longer.
