Maybe he wants 4 years and we are offering 2.
I love people losing their shit over a negotiation of which there is zero information other than it isn't concluded.
Pretty damning verdict on the state of the club's hierarchy when fans need to convince themselves over and over that Virg and Mo will sign because it's somehow inconceivable the club will let them walk away. Have the last 15 years not taught you anything? FSG are part of the moneysavingexpert corp.
I dont think youre obliged to take a shitter contract than you're worth because youre deemed the best leader at the club. The VVD one annoys me the most on both sides.
It should be so easy to tie down the existing captain and the fucker should want to sign a deal worth hundreds of thousands a week to captain us. There is an element here of him not putting the club first as this has dragged out. It's not a good look to be so non committal. If it was Hyypia or Carra, it would be done by now.
Sounds harsh but it is what it is. Things are different when you wear the armband.
On the 10th Wembley priced pint then?I'm at Wembley and one of the lads is mates with someone who is bessies with Trent's brother/agent.
Trent is staying.
It's as true as god

And none of those rumours align with his 'big plans' quote. Unless he meant money 🤣If he goes to Saudi or the US you know what his motivation is.

Virgil Van Dijk, Nico Williams, Arda Güler, Schlotterbeck… Voici les infos transferts de la semaine !
Chaque lundi, Sky Sport vous propose un bilan général des mouvements en cours sur le marché des transferts dans le football international.www.sky-sport.ch
Virgil van Dijk (33) is increasingly leaning towards a Liverpool exit as his contract expires in June, according to Sacha Tavolieri. The Dutch centre-back reportedly feels his time is up with the Merseyside giants. Van Dijk joined Liverpool from Southampton in a record-setting €84m transfer during the 2018 winter transfer window. He went on to establish himself as one of the finest centre-backs in the Premier League era.
Van Dijk reportedly envisions one final gig at a foreign club before hanging up his boots for good. As reported by L’Equipe, the Netherlands skipper has a lucrative €20m per year offer on the table from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal. Van Dijk would rather favour a move across the Atlantic and into the MLS. Tavolieri adds that Van Dijk’s close friend – Manchester City playmaker Kevin de Bruyne – is also planning to join America’s first-tier on a free transfer next June.
In the aftermath of Liverpool’s exit from the Champions League at the expense of PSG, Van Dijk was seen in conversation with Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Sporting advisor Luis Campos. Tavolieri understands that no further discussion took place between PSG and Van Dijk, although the Dutch international might have used the moment to hint about his upcoming availability in the summer. As for a contract renewal, no deal seems to be on the horizon between the Liverpool owners and the 2019 UEFA Player of the Year.
With Van Dijk heading towards the exit and Ibrahima Konaté’s future up in the air, Liverpool have added Borussia Dortmund centre-back Nico Schlotterbeck to their wishlist. The 25-year-old Germany international is tied with the Schwarlzgelben over a contract set to expire in 2027. BVB have reportedly set a €60m asking price on Schlotterbeck, but LFC feel they can reach an agreement over a transfer fee near the €50m mark.

I don't see the problem with that. He's 33 and wants to get paid. Who wouldn't. No matter how much ambition you have if you're not getting what you think you're worth you're not going to do it.If he goes to Saudi or the US you know what his motivation is.
