I do respect the idea of challenging yourself and seeking something beyond the comfort zone. Not many of us are in magnanimous mood now, but I would rather focus on the positive moments and memories with Trent. I’ll remember the passes, the joy of football when he first came into the team, the free-kicks, “corner taken quickly,” Champions League and the Premier League titles. YNWA lad.
Also with him gone, for me this officially marks the point of transition from Klopp’s team to Slot’s because Trent’s unique tactical profile defined the Klopp era - both its strengths and weaknesses.
