Its been a bit quiet on the racing front lately so ive had a chance to have a word with a couple of people who tend to know their stuff. Anyways a shortlist of horses that I/we think could be potential winners in the not to distant future.

Arctic Freedom - Well bred daughter of War Chant who only just lost out on her debut to outsider Dove Mews. Ed Dunlop isn't one to push his fillies to win on their first and expect plenty of improvement from her and a maiden next time out should be a formality

Bobbie Soxer - Bred for 10f+, but has ran twice over 6f and both times has been staying on well and perhaps is one for nurseries over 7-8f this season and should win races.

Howard - Half brother to stayer Samuel out of a 1000 Guineas fourth who was unsurprisingly an unfancied 16/1 chance on his debut and ran incredibly green before staying throughout the final furlong. One to note for the future as he undoubtedly has a bright one ahead of him.

Imaam - Well liked and nicely bred son of Pivotal who made his debut in a race the trainer targets with nice horses such as Jedburgh and Shmookh. He comes from a very good family, but one in which they tend to improve from their debut run and judging from the way he was staying on strongly close home, he has ability, and now with that run under his belt should go on to much better things.

Reaction - Very green on his debut, but was picking up really well when the penny dropped and seems to have a good turn of foot which will stand him in good stead and win him plenty of races.

And 3 from the gallops to appear soon and have been working very well at home:

At A Great Rate - This filly holds a Group 1 entry and she could well be up that standard. She is an exquisitly bred daughter of US stallion Arch who comes from a superb high class family and is said to be working well and is scheduled to make her debut in the coming weeks, most probably at Newmarket (July). Could be very good indeed.

Itlaaq - He is out of a filly the trainer did well with and this colt is held in very high regard by his trainer. Scheduled to make his debut at Newmarket (July) recently, but apparently will want a little bit of cut. Said to be rated a serious Group horse material and one to follow this season over 7/8f. May need first outing like so many from the yard, but word is he is pretty much ready now to do himself justice.

Zacinto (A little late with this one as its already romped home 1st last week) - Beautifully bred colt who is said to be high in the pecking order at Freemason Lodge. Apparently did a brilliant piece of work on the Limekilns Gallop under Kieren Fallon recently and could be a high class prospect. 7/8f should suit

Irish-racing.com has that facility but it might only be for Irish horses.

I've just done the same, none of those horses have any entries at the moment

Whitey, did you say you had a tip for today? Remember that from another thread.
Just checked it was Combat Zone. Any update.

This is the gist of what ive been told. "its been working really well at home. Holds top rank amongst the yards two-year olds and the stables only two juvenile representatives thus far have shown themselves to be well forward, so anything other than a winning debut would be a disappointment."

Im not so sure myself. I think theres 3 other good horses that are in this one so a win is no formality. We'll see.

Arctic Freedom is running at Newmarket tomorrow

Doubtful runner i think. Not sure how it would cope on slower ground anyway.

Had a nice little win on Harrison George earlier @ York. Just thought I would share.

Well done mate. Im off to York races tomorrow so hopefully you can pass on some of your luck to me.

Arctic Freedom was a non runner today. Good job really, conditions wouldn't have suited.

It worked mate. Ive just got back from York now. 4 decent priced winners and a 2nd place for me today at the meeting. Kept on going to same bookie called Geraghty each time. I think he hated me "oh its you again, how much do i owe you this time?." haha.

I flicked over at half time in tonights game to catch a bit of racing. Anyway the horse that finished 2nd in the 7.30pm had a quick turn of foot. It came from an awkward place in the crowd to chase the winner real strong at the end. If that race is anything to go on id expect it to be a winner in the near future. I think it was called Timoca.

Howard, unfortunately, may have been found one of the seasons hottest maiden races, so may have to wait another day. However, he is entitled to progress too and should run another decent race, but winning may be a bridge too far.

Imaam should prove very hard to beat. He is well regarded, beautifully bred, ran a brilliant race on debut and, the winner of that race has since finished second in a Group 2, so the vibes look good for him. The one problem? His price which is likely to be too short.

Ive been told to expect good things from a horse called Aflaam today but i haven't had chance to look at that yet. All the talk was he was doing some very nice work last year and indeed appeared in a few ante-post lists for classic honours but a ligament injury curtailed his training programme. Hes suppose to be working well again in his homework so we'll see on this one.
