I was messaging someone yesterday about having players in the same position but with different skillsets. We don’t need a like for like at RB, or RW or anywhere that isn’t GK, CB or DM. Having different skillsets mean you can do different things based on opponent and their tactics.

So missed one game through injury in last year and a half

Why would Sunderland agree to this is my thoughts? Hes played 17 games started 7 for them. He's an important part of their squad.

Unless we financially compensate both Sunderland and Leipzig. I feel this is a Hughes/Edwards "At least we tried" distraction.
