Liverpool have reportedly registered their interest in Bologna's midfielder Gaston Ramirez and could make an approach in the January transfer window, according to Inside Futbol.
The football site says their sources in Italy have told them that Liverpool have placed a value on the 20-year-old and are willing to pay €10m for his signature.
Ramirez, another product of Uruguay's blossoming youth setup, has been in impressive form since moving to Bologna last summer and is also thought to be attracting the interest of Manchester United and Manchester City.
However, it is thought Liverpool have moved earliest by putting a value on the player and are keen to add him to their growing Uruguayan contingent.
Luis Suarez moved in January and has established himself as one of the most dangerous strikers in the league while Sebastian Coates has arrived this summer following an outstanding Copa America.
Liverpool will be hopeful that with his countrymen already at Anfield, that Ramirez would prefer a move to Merseyside over another Premier League club
