Winter transfers

He was signed by a Sporting Director who left shortly after, not by Emery, who is subsequently making a point of it.

I'm not sure what your issue with this is, but it's pretty damn obvious Slot could get far more out of Elliott if he wanted to.

My issue is that Elliott isn’t a better option now than previously. There was a reason why he and we moved on. But he seems to have this ability among fans to improve ability wise the less he plays.

But if we feel he protects his transfer value better on our bench, then sure, recall him.
I’m just not sure where he would play or get game time. Love the kid and his attitude though so maybe that has a positive effect.

I’m so fed up with his contract situation that it would be better to just move on. He doesn’t deserve a mega salary given how he plays either.
Not a single point in Momo's PotS tells us all we need to know about how he's performed this season, esp. since we've been under threat so often. He's not muck but there are plenty of CBs his equal on far less money.

He's gone. We are not going to pay anything like that.

who?

(help those out who no longer follow it like we once did 🙂 )

Joel Ordóñez is a highly-rated young Ecuadorian center-back for Club Brugge known for his physicality, defensive skills, and potential to become a top European defender, drawing interest from Premier League giants like Liverpool and Chelsea after coming through Independiente del Valle's famed youth system. He excels in aerial duels, tackling, and building play from the back, with Scouts praising his maturity, positioning, and athleticism for his age.

Harvey did come on for us and create and score some very important goals.

He combined well with Salah too.

Klopp said it was a regret he didn't play him more.

It's clear he could be useful for us, but that's only true if he was going to be played. We all know Slots not gonna play him.

One of Klopp’s accomplishments was how integrated the youth set up was and how they trained with the first team, how they were given minutes and how his approach worked.

There’s none of this happening with Slot. If you have a bad game, that’s it. He’s decided you ain’t got it and you are on your way.

He’s also seemingly not very liked by players which is another problem.

And then there’s his current managerial problems which means it’s harder for us to attract new signings. It’s not great. This was one of Klopp’s great achievements. He was a player magnet.

And remember I’m one of those less critical of him.

I think one of the key aspects people forget here is what an unbelievable manager Klopp was, and that he could get the best out of just about everyone and see them punch above their weight. A lot of those youngsters weren’t good enough back then either.
When you look at their careers after leaving Liverpool it’s quite telling imho.

i stuck a video in one of the other threads where hendo and milner talk about klopp.

obviously the man’s a special coach and a special person so imo it’s not fair to use klopps very rare talents in man management and motivation to bash slot but at the same time we can’t use how special klopp was as a shield to protect slot.

arne imo has been below par in wringing performances out of the wider squad players which follows on to the youth not really getting a chance.

There are 3 good defenders available in the summer on a free transfer, Konate has been atrocious this season he not worth half the money he is looking for, I would be happy to see the back of him.

But isn’t this the way with almost any player that plays under Klopp? They hit incredible highs and when they go elsewhere, they never deliver the same levels. Of course there are exceptions, but there is also the rule.
