If we sign him I hope we add some physicality as well. He's a very technically gifted player with great passing ability though, and has the ability to be our playmaker.

1) A starting RCB, with Ibou leaving.
2) A DM who can run, tackle and pass.
3) A LW to replace Diaz.
4) A LCB for depth to take over from VVD.
5) A RW to take over Mo.
6) A LB to replace Robertson.

That's like 6 positions. I'd have liked to have seen at least 2 (of the top 3) addressed in this window. But alas, we're doing nothing.

I believe we only really need one winger - and make it a good one. Wirtz is doing fine as a LW. If we get a direct RW in (with Mo leaving) I think the forward line is in good health. Focus then needs to go on to the CBs and DM.

We also need to start thinking about a keeper too because Ali may decide he’s off to open up a church in Brasilia.

CB is a critical area. Ibou is out. We can’t depend on Gomez. Our CB options will be VVD and Leoni after this summer. We absolutely need at least two incoming.

I'd argue that we don't need a leftback to replace Robbo. Either Chambers steps up or Tsimikas comes back. Kerkez is coming along and I wouldn't invest anymore in that position at this point.

But hard to argue with the other five. And we need some decent quality in each of them, meaning it won't come cheap.
