Worst tackle ever?

That's up there, but there have been a few over the years that are comparable.

That Axel Witsel one comes to mind. Makes me shiver every time I think of it.
 
I'm sure Roy Keane has made worse ones. It's a nasty one, though - if that caused a break I doubt the player would be back.

His leg dangled about like it'd been broken so guessing not a great outlook for him.
 
Yep that's a bad tackle. Still, I think that tackle by Parker on Bullard should be up there as one of the worst as well.
 
A lot the worst tackles I can think of in recent times are by Algerians

Fucking hell, after seeing that tackle in slow motion thats ridiculous.

He had a straight leg with his foot on the ground when the guy came flying in too.
 
That's accidental though mate ... Reus went in with two feet and destroyed someone ... in a wheelchair two days before his wedding ...
 
The Ben Thatcher one still shocks me.

I saw football when defenders could smash players over the holdings and 5 rows up, but John Fashnu with the elbow on Gary Mabut in a Wimbledon v Spurs derby came straight to my mind. Mabut really could have died he was fucked.
 
Fucking coward. I wish the opposing captain had lamped him.
Witsel is a fucking vile coward for that too.
What Keane did to Haland is the worst for me. Premeditated attack on the guy's career. Utterly despicable.

Yes, awful, and I don't think Fashanu even got booked for it. Mabbutt still has partial numbness on that side of his face. Kevin Moran did something similar to Dalglish - horrible assault.

How people regard the man as a hero baffles me. One of the most disgusting things I've ever seen a professional footballer do.
 
No mention of Kevin Muscat yet? that bloke will have a long highlight reel of assaults.

Also that one Essien done on Didi sticks in the mind, wasn't a one off with Essien either.
