Xabi Xabi la vie

This was always the prob. This and the interview saying he'd leave the UK cos of Gordon Brown. @Piedro has the opposite story about Jermaine Pennant though
That one was funny. Pulled up outside the restaurant in his £250,000 Lambo with his page 3 bird (Amy something I think, was about 2009 or 2010). Came in the restaurant, sank about 8 cocktails in an hour (Long Island Iced Teas - Fucking strong ones, I made them), paid the bill, dropped us £40 for the service and then got in his car and sped off with his birds tongue down his ear. Fucking lunatic, must have been at least 10 times over the limit.

Was he not done for drinking and driving before he joined us and after he left us? He never learnt did he.

Pennant is on Talksport late show now, I heard him co-hosting with that twat ex Chelsea wind-up merchant Jason Cunty after our game on Monday night.

JP actually spoke really well, intelligent analysis and really supportive of us and respectful to the listeners ringing in unlike Cunty who is just a knob.

For example he batted off any suggestion Barnsley could have had a penalty and explained it well. TBH I didn't know who he was at first and couldn't believe it when his name came up.

It was a Saturday night, restaurant was chocker, fully booked and no tables available. He comes in with his bird, asks for a table, and me being starstruck, manages to make some space, bring an extra table and chairs down from the storeroom, lay the table out and seat the pair of them.

An hour or so later It comes to the end of his meal and he asks for the bill and I said "Was everything OK for you Xabi?, he said the food was excellent, great service and that that he appreciated us fitting them in at short notice. The bill was £88. I put it down on his table. He put £90 in cash on the table. I took it and went to the till to ring it in. Took the £2 change back to the table. I was expecting him to drop me a £20 or something for a tip. He put the £2 in his pocket, said thanks and fucked off.

He may not have given you a cash reward, but this story goes beyond monetary value. He gave you an experience. The high of his arrival, the low of his cheap arse departure.

It's all set up nicely for him to return and complete the circle, the high of Liverpool domination.

Pennant's surprised me in much the same way when I've heard him on TalkSh!te. Troy Deeney's another - I had him down as just a warmed-up caveman but he's bright, insightful and a better broadcaster than some of the old hands they have on that station. You never can tell.

Just put it down to another one of Dreamies weird takes.

The list is endless.

Poor guy still doesn't want Wirtz and probably one of those who didn't want Semenyo.
the Wirzt signing has along with a number of other factors caused us to throw away a position of power which I said the risk was exactly that. Semenyo I wanted since last season and had said as such on here. Long before it was fashionable but as you were.

Better winning rate than Zidane, Ancelotti, and Solari. How can anyone call this man a failure?

Because at Madrid you are only judged on trophies.

It’s like those stupid charts that used to show we’d be top if the league ran from Jan to Dec.

His team was 4pts off Barcelona, lost to them in a cup and looked less than convincing in the CL.

He failed to adapt to the type of players at Madrid even after playing there.

Win percentage means fuck all in that context.

He failed.

Now let's hear your views on Ange in the same vein 😜

Ha ha I have heard this story before and it never is not funny 😅😅😅😅

He prioritised not only Spurs first trophy in years but also their first European trophies in decades.

Secured them CL footy.

Beat Man U in the final condemning them to no European footy and the financial impact of not having CL footy.

He should be given a knighthood and most definitely should have been given the start of this season to see if he could replicate the start to the year before where he had them top.

I'm not sure you quite got 'in the same vein' 😂

They lost to Barcelona in the equivalent of the Community Shield.

In the meantime, they are the highest placed Spanish side in the UCL league table, and they are four points off top spot in La Liga with only half the games played. How can you say he has failed to win trophies, when he was on firmly on course for a Treble?

It's like cashing out on a bet after you've won the semi-finals of the Champions League. No rational person would do that.
