The Liverpool attacker, who is in Roy Hodgson's World Cup squad, is deemed to be the 15th most expensive player in the world by Swiss-based research centre, the CIES Football Observatory, with his value estimated to be between €38.7m (£31.5m) and €44.9m (£36.6m)
He is one place ahead of Everton playmaker Ross Barkley, who valued between €36.8m and €42.8m (£30m and £34.9m).
They perhaps surprisingly head England team-mate Wayne Rooney, who is in 17th place with a price tag of between €36.7m and €42.7m (£29.9m and £34.8m).

Shaqiri admitted last month he was ready to quit Bayern after failing to establish himself as a first-team regular since the arrival of Pep Guardiola as manager last summer.
Liverpool, as exclusively revealed by Starsport, lodged a £15m bid for Shaqiri last week with manager Brendan Rodgers intent on bolstering his squad ahead of a return to the Champions League next season.
And according to reports in Shaqiri's native Switzerland, Liverpool are close to clinching his signature.
Manchester United have previously shown interest in Shaqiri, capped 32 times by Switzerland, but his desire to play in the Champions League means he has ruled out a potential switch to Old Trafford.

Today's "Echo" apparently carries a report saying the Mancs were also in for him but he's turned them down in favour of our bid.
Youtube clips (for whatever there worth) seem to suggest he is very raw still.
Would he improve our first team?
I've never seen such a squat footballer before, btw. He looks like an Olympic weightlifter.
