So then it seems Yaya has been given the boot at City. Apparently he can go in January. Some sort of shit storm surrounding his agent etc. Anyhoo I'd have him here. His brother loves us so I can imagine he would talk us up as a potential place to be. I can imagine his wages would be an issue but he can be sure someone would sort him out with a scouse birthday cake at the least.

He has to be an upgrade on Lucas right?

Fuck no, he's finished at the highest level. Doesn't have the legs to do the running we'd require.

Signing Yaya, even on a free, would approach Balliotelli-esque levels of folly.

One of the things that Klopp seems to instil in his players is that they are absolutely subordinate to the team ethic. I think Lovren's turnaround was partly do do with converting him from a puffed up peacock of a player into a much more humble and dedicated version of himself. It is perhaps only Studge who hasn't quite come around to the Klopp ethos, though perhaps he is edging there. Apart from his clear physical issues in respect of question marks over his ability to tirelessly hunt the ball back time and again, he has the most inflated ego in football –Zlatan levels of ego, though lacking the hint of amusing pantomime actor performativity that I'd argue Zlatan possesses. As Woland said in another thread he has an ego the size of Jupiter. He'd be poison.

When I said I'd take him on the OP I really didn't mean it. I was just testing you all. Thankfully you've all passed with flying colours 😛

Polar opposite to his brother?

He has a stinking attitude thinking the Whole world including the Club putting a million pound a month in his Pocket treath him bad. Did the same in Barca by the way. He should move a cross town and jog around With Rooney and Fellaini in Central Mid. Fellaini would be mistaken for Messi.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mourinho signs him for Utd. Chance to piss off Pep and secondly he loves to prove a point esp players with grudges. First Zlatan and Pep now Yaya maybe?

That would be fucking perfect.
