I refuse to get on the anti-Facebook bandwagon. It's enabled me to get/stay in touch with a number of folks who don't even use e-mail that much any more.
In football terms, I've come to like Ray Wilkins as a pundit. He was one of the most overrated players I ever saw in my life and used to bore the bejabers out of me as a co-commentator etc, but these days he doesn't seem to give a flying one and can come out with some surprisingly interesting comments or recollections.

Is there any kind of amnesty associated with the revealing of our dirty secrets? Should, for instance, I state, hypothetically, that I have no love for Alonso and I hated his beard and can't bear to read any of the placating shite he comes out with about Liverpool since he moved because he didn't hesitate for one fecking second before leaving us. And, if I mentioned that rather than being a main reason Alonso left, Rafa's handling of him made him a better player. Would I incur the wrath of the beardy deserter's fan club or will I be allowed to return to lurking unscathed?

Me neither. We all love him, but I never rated his managerial abilities.
I'm too young to remember his first stint, but that seemed very successful and he did well at Blackburn, but he had been out of the game a very long time by 2011.
I was delighted when the King was brought in as caretaker after Hodgson got the boot, but I hoped we'd use the time to do a full executive search for a permanent successor. When the King got that gig himself I wasn't as apprehensive as some of you fellas, and I'll admit to thinking "Up yours, Hodgson" after the self-seeking cr@p that appalling old liar spouted about the King when he (Hodgson) was appointed, but I was a bit uneasy.all the same. The whole thing's best forgotten really.
