too many teams have fallen into the trap of trying to contain bale rather than getting at him and pushing him on the defensive. everytime I've seen an attacker go at bale (rather spurs' left hand side) bale has been very quiet.

Agreed. I'm not Henderson's biggest fan but his hard work will be needed in this one. Suarez hasn't played a competitive match in a long time so it might be better he doesn't start, besides - we need Kuyt to protect Johnson, Bellamy to harass their defenders, while Carroll doesn't deserve to be dropped at the moment.

In an ideal world, I'd have had Shelvey ahead of Henderson, but that's not going to happen, and Shelvey hasn't had enough first team experience (which I find very unfortunate) to come into such a big game.
