Interesting how Torres is above Salah for some people. Just went and checked some stats.
Currently Salah has 92 goals in 145 appearances, while Torres had 81 in 142.
Big difference in assists, with Salah having 35 with Torres getting 16.
So Salah has a superior record in goals scored, and created twice as many goals for others.
For me Salah has been phenomenal and ranks above Torres.
It's hard to say, as Torres's team was tailored for him with Gerrard and Alonso pulling their magic. Not sure Torres's style and workrate would work at all for our current side. We create a shitload because of our counter pressing, starting with the forwards. I think it's why, as phenomenal as he was at his peak, he could only get into the Spanish side as an impact sub.Although I had Salah ahead of Torres, compare the two teams and how they played footy ... Salah in that team, and Torres in this team, would see what kind of #s for both?
I asked the question within a previous post, I had exempted Fowler from the list due to emotional attachment people have. The only reason I have put Salah ahead of Fowler was because we have won big things Salah.Grew up on Robbie - tough not to put him 1st though I think once Salah scores 20-30 next year, he'll jump over both God & Suarez.
1. God
2. Suarez
3. Salah
4. Torres
5. Owen

Why is no-one doing a top 10. You'll get more questionable choices if you extend it to to 10
Salah is surely in that bracket? How many times has Salah gone past 2-4 opposition players as if they weren't there? Very few players can put 4 players to ground with a quick turn. There's also the point that Torres was just so wonderful to watch. You could tell he was a different class.
He and Suarez are still the most gifted players I've seen play for us.

He beats his first man almost every time. The issue is when he tries to get past the 2nd, 3rd and 4th defender. But then he has such quick feet that nobody properly tackles him, which means the ball usually doesn’t get booted out and trickles / ricochets around the area and ends up at one of our players’ feet, thus creating a chance for us.I actually don't think Salah beats his man very often, it's one of the few very small disappointments I've had with him.
It's mad how underrated Salah is
