Finished 2-0. A very soild performance, with plenty of promising efforts.
Robinson - already rated by England under 16/17 coaches, he impressed again tonight. Confident, sharp and showed good vision. Good defensively and going forward. One of the contenders for MOM.
Flanagan: Right-sided defender, but really one to watch. He's lots to learn but he's a really tenacious player - he was reminiscent of Steve McMahon when he tried to nick the ball off a Wolves player - and he gets forward well without forgetting his main duties. He looks very committed, very competitive and keen to progress.
Andre Wisdom: central defender today (but he can play right back, right winger, too), fairly pacy and good at anticipating movement and very strong. He looks decent.
Buchtmann: left-sided winger cum defender, this time playing on the right of midfield for much of the game. He moves the ball around quickly and is solid in the tackle.
Roberts: in central midfield, chose the right ball much of the time, hitting the odd long ball to the wings and threading through some nice crisp passes to the forwards.
Ince: played mainly on the left but switched sometimes to the right. Defensively responsible and quick to move forward. Very lively, very sharp, quite clever, and scored a well-deserved goal. He's steadily improving.
Ngoo: Crouch-like in terms of height, Heskey-like in terms of touch. It's early days for him, and he does cause defenders problems (he scared one defender into hacking him over on the edge of the area), but he needs to improve his technique. If he develops and learns he'll be an interesting option for both the youth and reserve team.
Adorjan: an old-style number 10, linking up well with the centre forward, finding space well and scored a really mature goal with a very calm and clinical finish. He's quite slight but he's no mug, and can be cute and slip in a tough challenge when he wants to. Got booked for dishing out a bit of retribution on one defender. Replaced late on by Adam Pepper (who wasn't fit enough to start).
