Otamendi should have seen red in the first 2 minutes then. When he brought down Salah in a reckless and dangerous fashion but wasn't.

So the refs don't follow their own laws.
 
This is the kind of thing that could happen us in Europe against a top team. We really needed to improve things at the back during the window.
 
The lack of fight in our team today is appalling. As soon as Mane got sent off the fuckers threw the towel in. Pathetic
 
Ok, so Klopp has done wonderfully well in many respects, but he has some serious questions to answer regarding the state of our defence. Has it improved at all since he arrived? I don't think it has.

Nah. Otamendi's yellow was right.
 
City are probably the worst team to be a player down to given the way they play.
No point in getting embarrassed any more here, just concentrate on defending for 30 mins.
 
Klopp only wanted players that would improve the squad in the summer. And here we are still playing with klaven because there are no better options available. Poor decision in the summer

The word reckless in the laws is specifically used to describe a yellow card situation and is different from serious foul play endangering safety.
 
We're playing 4-2-3 in exactly the same we'd play our usual 4-3-3. It's completely daft.

Klopp needs to be more pragmatic about things.

I don't think Klopp knows how to. This match's circumstances shows his weaknesses.
