Just watching Goldbridge + some other guy on this and it was interesting that in their combined team we had by far the strongest defence (not that I disagree).

Their team :

Alisson
Trent (Goldbridge chose him over the other guy's Walker with an 'overrule').
Saliba
VvD
Robbo
No argument over the other 4 defenders, both agreed on all.

Rodri
B.Silva (Macca got a shout out)
KdB

Saka (because none of the LWers deserve to be there, so an out of position Saka is better).
Haaland
Salah

Manager : Klopp
----------------

Mine:

Alisson
Trent
Saliba (but Konate isn't far behind)
VvD
Robbo

Rodri
Macca
KdB

Nunez (proven at LW whereas Saka has never played there)
Haaland
Salah

Manager : Klopp

If I was a neutral however I'd probably go

Allison

Walker
Virgil
Saliba
Robertson

Rodri
Trent

Salah (RW)
De Bruyne
Foden (LW)

Haaland

Close call between Trent to RB and Macca in midfield however Walker is the better defender.

Trent over Macca or B.Silva in midfield? Seriously?!

It’s actually also a combined LFC, City, Arsenal & Man Utd team.

Foden probably works on the left - he has played there.

Alisso
Trent - Saliba - Virgil - Robbo
De Bruyne - Rodri - Mac A
Salah - Haaland - Foden

Subs : Ederson, Walker, Dias, Rice, Silva, Slobozlai, Odegaard, Saka, Nunez

A fit and in form Konate starts over Saliba for France and I'm not going to disagree with that.

-------------------------Allison
---Trent - - - Konate - - - VVD-----Robertson
-------------------------Rodri
---------------KDB-----------Odegaard
----Salah----------Haaland---------Foden

Tough between Silva, Mac Allister and Odegaard, but I felt at least one Arsenal player should be in there. They are quite good. Martinelli also has a case at LW but Foden looks very sharp right now.

I think I'd rather have Nunez for his pace and power. Difficult to find a slot for Foden no matter how good he is (and he is) but he's also a massive twat so no problem leaving him out.

Trent isn’t even the best right back at Liverpool!
I think it's a case of what else does he bring. And clearly it works at Liverpool with (until this week) both the best defence in the PL and attack in Europe. With an even better midfield he's worth it.

Bit harsh on Darwin there - he’s not that big a twat ;):p

I think it's quite obvious?

Alisson
Trent Saliba Virgil Robertson
Rice Rodri
Salah DeBruyne Saka
Haaland

Bench: Ederson, Walker, Konate, Silva, Macca, Odegaard, Foden, Martinelli, Nunez

Definitely a debate to be had for RB (depends on tactics) & RCB (Konate) and personally I wouldn't have two defensive midfielders, which is why I like Macca over Rice.

Don't need two defensive midfielders when one of them is Rodri. Grudgingly have to say he's simply astounding.
