Leeds United are delighted to announce the signing of defender Diego Llorente.
The 27-year-old joins the club from La Liga outfit Real Sociedad for an undisclosed fee.
The defender has put pen to paper on a four-year deal at Elland Road, running until the summer of 2024.
Llorente started his career at Real Madrid, making his Bernabeu debut against Osasuna in June 2013.
He spent the 2015/16 campaign at Rayo Vallecano and at the end of the season was rewarded with his first Spain cap in the 3-1 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The following campaign he joined Malaga on loan, continuing to build up his La Liga experience with 25 appearances in Spain’s top-flight.

The 27-year-old centre-half, who has 42 caps and represented his country at the 2018 World Cup, has signed a five-year contract with the Hornets and becomes the latest new addition to Vladimir Ivić’s squad.
Troost-Ekong has spent the past two years in Italy with Udinese, playing 66 times for the Serie A side since his arrival from Turkish Süper Lig outfit Bursaspor in 2018.

Baum, 41, steps into the hot-seat at the Veltins-Arena following the departure of David Wagner who had overseen a run of 18 league matches stretching back to 17 January 2020.
"In Manuel Baum, we have been able to win an absolute specialist for Schalke," said sporting director Jorg Schneider on the club's website. "If you look at his previous jobs, you will find that his teams always had clear structures and styles on the pitch. This is a very important factor in our current situation."
Baum earned his first Bundesliga head coaching job back in December 2016, stepping up from his role as a youth coach to take over from Dirk Schuster at Augsburg. The former 1860 Munich youth player was in the job at the WWK-Arena April 2019 and has since coached Germany's national U20 and U18s teams in seven matches since September 2019.
