Psv also got wjinaldum for 6 mill euros. A bargain!

Indeed. Good step up for him though. Get to continue his development at a bigger club and have a taste of European football at the same time.

Potential bananaskin if he's thrown in at the deep end.

I for one hope he is as there'll be all sorts of pressure on the young lads shoulders.

Very unlike Ferguson this signing. IMO. Unless of course he'll get time to adjust but then he'll have to rely on a rather inexperienced (at highest level) Lindegaard.

But then again he can prove to be WC from the off and then I'm sitting here with a long face.

Hey khl, my team signed another Danish lad this week. Marc Olsen (I think) - played for Brondby and some team called HIF.

He bamboozled me with stepovers and other sexy shit in training the other night. No doubt he'll be fucking shite when it comes to the muddy paddock on gameday, but thus far he looks quite good.

You recognise the name?
Sure do mate. Had a good rep in his youth years with Brøndby If I'm not mistaken.

Technically and pacy player. Even Got a handful of games at highest level.

Some rather good 'cast offs' you're playing along mate. You must be rather good yourself I take it? Kewell-like? :D
He's got unbelievable tricks. Looks amazing in training thus far. He came off the bench for his first game the other night and looked pretty good too.

Not quite sure where we're getting these Danish cast-offs from to be honest.

Apparently Kewell's signing for Melbourne Victory too, or conversations with his shitcunt agent Bernie Mandic are "ongoing" anyway. Normally I wouldn't give two fucks about Kewell, but we're lined up to play against Victory in a friendly in 3 weeks time, so I might get the chance to have a kick at the cunt if the move goes through.

From what I hear, Melbourne Heart discussed a move with Kewell ages ago, but he was looking an absolute fortune and it wouldn't be financially viable.

Massive boost to the game here if he came back.

Mind you, he'll probably get injured getting off the plane.

If I can a) nutmeg him or b) injure him, I'll retire there and then.

Haha be gentle on him mate. For some odd reason I still like Harry Kewell.

Perhaps it's the name? I don't know anymore.

*Imagines Clichy's sour face when hearing about Adebayor leaving back then for BIG MONEY and not him*

So unfair.

Cheeky sod.

I think he's part-time in a lower league team.

so the confirmed thread has turned into a rumour thread?

My bad.

Dario Vidosic to Adelaide United on a 3 yr deal.

What you think about that Ryan? ;)

Wes Brown will be confirmed to Sunderland tomorrow. As will most likely O'sideways.

Villarreal
Cristián Zapata (Udinese) - €7 million

CRISTIAN ZAPATA has snubbed interest from Arsenal and Liverpool to join Villarreal.

The Colombian has called time on his Udinese career and signed a five-year deal with the Spaniards.

Zapata, 24, is currently playing for his country in the Copa America but will sign his new contract when he gets back from the tournament.

His agent, Jerome Barbadillo, said: "Villarreal were the first club to show an interest in him.

"He is very happy, but is now focused on the Copa America — but he is aware of everything."

Sunderland

David Vaughan (Blackpool) - free transfer

Fucking hell, are sunderland trying to bring in an entire new first 11?

Ha. To be fair, they depended quite a lot of loan players and a couple of players' contract weren't renewed. Made a few good bosman signings so far.

Inter Milan
Ricardo Alvarez (Velez) - 90% of contract at €12m
*** Inter will be forced to buy out Velez’s share once the player has made 80 first team appearances for the Italian club.
Should Alvarez leave Inter before reaching that mark, Velez will be entitled to 10 per cent of any transfer fee for him.

Hamburg
Per Ciljan Skjelbred (Rosenborg) - €1m (contract was expiring in Nov '11)

Norwich City
Anthony Pilkington (Huddersfield Town) - £2m

Can't let this one go without a mention. I first saw him play for Stockport about 4 seasons ago and was hugely impressed. He's big (about 6ft) and solid despite being a tricky winger. He's very skillful but isn't afraid of a tackle, he has one-helluva shot on him and a great crosser. He can cut in but loves nothing more than skinning defenders on the outside - he's very quick.

He's one of the few 2nd division players I've seen over the last 10 years where instantly you think he's Premier League material. he handled the step up to the 1st division with no problems and shone at Huddersfield and i reckon he could be a very exciting player to watch this season. He's been capped for ireland U-21's but still hasn't committed to the full national team yet (he was born in England) - I'd love to see him in Green.

For a few seasons now I've thought Pratley, Williams & Pilkington would "make it" in the Premier League and that Morison & Bennett COULD make it - I can't wait to see how they do. With such astute signings I will be placing large bets on Swansea and Norwich both staying up. So far my 3 for the drop are QPR, Wigan, Sunderland.
