I think the list consists of players born on or after 1996. So if you're wondering why Jordon Ibe isn't there it's because he's born in 1995.

Is it fair to see it as a massive failure to not have a single academy product in the top 50 list?
Our academy must be among the top 50 in the world at least?
 
The top 50 according to who though? I'm fairly sure most sports publications do a top 50 list and they're all different. I think it's probably fair to say we don't have enough outstanding prospects in the 19-21 year region but from the looks of it we have decent youngsters slightly younger than that.
 
What about that Norwegian bloke who played for the national team aged 16 or something. Is he a bit shit now?
