We've found out that Mata wants to come so are now looking to find something wrong with Downing so we can withdraw from the transfer.

Not sure what to make of this then. The one I'm thinking of was when Shanks tried to sign a striker called Frank Worthington in the 1970s. Worthington was amazingly skilful, but a big drinker and smoker and his first medical wasn't encouraging as far as his heart was concerned. Shanks was that keen to get him that he sent him off on holiday for two weeks to rest and relax, after which the medical would be repeated. Worthington basically drank and whored his way through the whole two weeks and failed the second medical as well.
 
SSN did say yesterday that the medical would be in 2 parts at 2 seperate hospitals so maybe they just carried the second one over to today knowing that there was no rush to announce aanything until Kenny got back from asia?

IF there was anything in this, why would we need to find something in the medical? We could simply fail to agree personal terms.

I'm impatient. I'm hoping once its done and dusted, we'll move on to a more *ahem* 'exciting signing'. But then again I was hoping for the same thing after Adam.
 
From another site that he has signed, but we've let Villa speak to two other players about a move and one loan signing. Im guessing ngog and cole at least.

And there is no rush in announcing it anyway.
