Hodgson's words after the game:

France don't panic in the final third so you have to be very disciplined in your defending. I've got to be very proud of that performance. Maybe that final ball needs to improve and we were maybe a bit anxious in the final third. But there were good signs of a team wanting to do well. To finish 1-1 and ask the questions of them that we did, I've got to be happy. We kept them at bay and there weren't that many situations in front of our goal where I was panicking in any way. And there were a few situations in their third where we would have scored a second goal with a bit of luck.
France are one of the favourites in the group.

It didn't take long for Hodgson to put his stamp on the England side.

He's a fucking negative gobshite. His persona is negative. Everything he says is negative. His style of play is negative. I cannot stand the man. Englands saviour. Laughable.

I completely disregard the fact he ever managed us like it ever happened. England will do shite and gobshites like Paddy Barclay will be singing his praises even though the reality will be the complete opposite.

It's like blocking out a really bad memory. I just hope it doesn't resurface in 10 years time and I fall apart in a gibbering mess.
