It's a good cross but you need a player attacking the back post as well. Johnson's crosses on the hand other hand are sometimes lazily floated, often overhit. If Wisdom can flourish and gain even more confidence, that right flank is covered then.

[article]Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough says he would like to extend the deals of loan duo Conor Coady and Simon Lappin.

The pair see their loan deals end in January and Clough says he will be talking to both the players and their clubs.

Speaking on BBC Radio Sheffield, Clough said, "We have decisions to make about Conor Coady and Simon Lappin and we will be cracking on with that this week.

"We are close; we will have a chat with them and then speak to their clubs. They are in control because we need to see if they want them to stay out on loan.

"We would like to keep them, it might be short-term initially."

Coady joined from Liverpool in the summer and he has made 21 appearances since his arrival.

The 20-year-old midfielder has scored once for the blades when he netted in the recent draw at Leyton Orient.[/article]

[article=http://www.carlisleunited.co.uk/news/article/roddanreturns2jan14-1270336.aspx?#da2gVmq1ogOW6y5Q.99]Carlisle United Football Club can confirm that midfielder Craig Roddan has returned to Liverpool at the end on his one-month youth loan agreement.

"Craig is a great lad, and he has worked very hard with us, but it's one we aren't going to pursue at this moment in time," manager Graham Kavanagh said. "It goes without saying that we wish him all the very best as he goes back to Anfield."

Fazakerley-born Roddan, 20, made one appearance for the Blues when he came off the bench in the 4-1 home win over Tranmere Rovers.[/article]

Lots of Twitter stuff about Suso today. Was booed by the Almeira fans yesterday whilst on the bench and responded by cupping his ear (or something). Apparently the fans want his loan cut short following his drinking before a game indiscretion.

Get him back or make him tough it out (and build character)?

Almería's coach Francisco on COPE: "There's nothing wrong with Suso. The ones in form get to play. There's no punishment, and he knows it."

It's a shame that things seem to be going downhill for Suso after a promising start to the season. Hopefully it picks up again.

It's very good for us, this experience might put him off Spanish football and we can keep him for the next 10 years.

[article= http://www.sufc.co.uk/news/article/20140108-conor-remains-a-blade-1282460.aspx#T3UjuVhHluKUAifa.99]Nigel Clough has confirmed that the Blades have extended the loan of midfielder Conor Coady.

The 20-year-old will remain at Bramall Lane throughout the month of January and into February, until he turns 21, as per the terms of his youth loan.

Clough is pleased to have been given the green light by Liverpool to retain the services of Coady, who the Blades boss believes is improving with every first-team game.

Clough remarked: "We have extended the loan of Conor and will see how things progress. Obviously the lad wants to be playing regularly, so we thought in the first instance it would be wise to sort out the short-term.

"He has started a lot of games since we arrived, he does a lot of good things, but as you would expect from a young player, has areas of his games to work on.

"Conor is such a bright lad though; he has a real willingness to learn and improve and always has a smile on his face.

"He will certainly have benefitted from this loan and he has proved to be a useful performer to have in our squad too."

Coady, who initially joined in pre-season, has made 23 appearances in all competitions to date, scoring once in the draw at Leyton Orient in November.[/article]

What position is he playing for them?

Where would he fit in to our system - the front 3 or the middle 3?

Usually plays on the wing, think he has a free role today in midfield today, often roaming outside the penalty area.
Easily the best player on the pitch.
Too bad he's playing with shite players.

His future is in the middle three, but currently he'd offer us an options on the wing.

It's not really a surprise how he's stepped up to proper footy! With the injuries/lack of form of our fullbacks it wouldn't have been the worst idea to keep him around and play him.

Yes - 1 month. But he could have been doing a good job for us rather than Barnsley. Flanagan and Enrique should both be back soon - in the meantime, a "proper full back" as cover would have been useful.
