Ole may be under pressure if they lose to Atalanta and we thump them at the toilet.

With the whole "Ole at the wheel, is it good or bad?" thing in mind, what's your preferred outcome?

I know there's stuff to happen before we play them, but just interested how the forum feels about potentially dealing a fatal blow to another Utd manager, if it means getting a potentially better one in...

Well well well.

Funny how all bar one person wants Ole at the wheel now.

They have a strong squad now, in the right hands would be a threat.

Klopp to fire another Utd manager on Sunday?

Jose was sacked after we beat them at Old Trafford so it would be nice to bookend Ole's career as a manager there.

I am kinda upset despite our win. Chelsea, City and Man United losing. Really wanted United to get something so they dont feel so determined to win next game against us.

city didn’t lose..
maybe it will knock their confidence that they lost today United..and when they see how well we did today, it could unnerve them..which could be good for us …in any case, we are on fire so ..will be confident …

Lol. They are always always determined to win at home against us. At least now their confidence is shot and they will be scared shitless of our front three. Add our confidence and we’ve got a great chance to go there and get a Klopp a win.

That squad is strong because they qualified for the champions league. You got your wish when they kept winning games. They then went out and signed Ronaldo, Varane and Sancho. Which will help Zidane or whoever takes charge.

Ole:

“we need to look at the whole setup of the team, the whole balance of the team. maybe?”

hilarious, what have you been doing for the last couple of years mate?

Hopefully they best Atalanta so losing to us on the weekend won’t be the final nail.

Klopp usually has a shit game against Ole, bad record against them, i expect the same next week.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: 'It is time to ask the question: Is Man Utd boss up to the job?’

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58942621

One of the cases for Solskjaer's defence has been a similar points record to the much-celebrated Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool - and the two face each other in a potentially pivotal clash at Old Trafford next Sunday.

In his first 104 games at Liverpool. Klopp won 196 league points, while Solskjaer has claimed 194 in the same time at United. Victory on Saturday would have had him ahead of Klopp's record.

But the problem for Solskjaer is that the pace gets a lot faster from this point on. In Klopp's next 123 Premier League games, he won 283 points at an average of 2.30 per game, up from 1.88.

In other words, after an encouraging start, Klopp took Liverpool to the next level.

This United team shows no signs of being anywhere near as good as Klopp's Liverpool, who won the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League in 2020.

He did well enough repairing the damage Mourinho left behind, then when the time came to make a permanent appointment they couldn't get a big name and had to settle for him. He's another in a long line of managers appointed to do a specific job at a specific time who ultimately prove not to be the right choice to take their club on to greater things after the dust has settled - we've had one or two ourselves if it comes to that.

Long may it continue.

That’s nice rant. “This football club is crap” and then it gets better from there.

They have a big problem, right now they need some order and discipline, but the fans of that club want to be entertained. We had similar issues until GH came along, and we as a fan base always knew how important defence is. They wont be satisfied with a Zidane type manager.

United looks like a Frankenstein of a team without a unifying philosophy...Some truly great individual parts but no one knows how to get them to gel together. Even on the good days when they win, it feels more like individual brilliance rather than team play.
