Wonderful signing and a key reason we were the best and most exciting attack to watch for 2-3 years.

He helped end the 30 year weight and always played with flair and a smile.

Absolutely the right decision to leave and arguably should have left and been replaced a couple of years ago.

I presume the 30 year weight is related to the sort of flab you find on a melt?

Stop making me cry ! Those three together in their prime ... just OMG so fucking good. We were so lucky to have them.
You haven't seen anything yet, wait till next season with prime Diaz Nunez Gakpo all lighting it up together ;)

What a player, fantastic person and servant to the club. That trio upfront has been amazing.
The roof will be lifted on his final home game.

Love Bobby!

Right decision to leave but also very sad to hear this news. One of our greats. A very unique forward - the likes of which we may never see again.

Them poor defenders retired after that game..

He was an integral part of Klopps 1st great side, the glue that held the attacking triumvirate of Salah, Bobby and Mané together. We didn't know how good we had it. For about 4 years there was no team on earth more fun to watch

What a front 3, had the lot.
Strength, intelligence, pace, guile.
Feels like we should have appreciated them a bit more while they were banging it in but too busy thinking about the next game.

Nearly as good as Barnes, Aldridge and Beardsley.

Seriously, been a great player for us, I hope he goes on and prospers in pasture's new. End of an era, which I'm sad about.

I was ok with it till I saw this thread.
That vid with the slow music and evolution from Balotelli and Benteke to our threesome made me reminice and miss them even more…

Ends the era right there for me. Sad to see but Good Luck Bobby .(Best as your interests etc)
Major rebuild required for the next era.

Man I rewatched a lot of these clips and it's incredible.how much he did for us. Also happy that we won every trophy possible while they were all here.

I expect Fun Bobby would have a lot of fun in Italy where even Ibrahimovic and Giroud look quick

Right decision for all parties - Fun Bobby can leave with his head held high and our respect.

Go to Spain Bobby - you’ll have a ball - not Barca or Real annd obviously not Atletico Madrid because Simeone is a horrible prick … maybe one of the other smaller teams that’ll love you - Real Sociadad or something.

Simeone is leaving.

Klopp: I was shocked that Liverpool signed Firmino!

The Reds signed the Brazilian for £29 million before the German took over as manager and he was impressed that they were able to steal a march on other big sides

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says that he was surprised and impressed that the club were able to sign Roberto Firmino before he took over.

The Brazil international left Hoffenheim for Anfield in a £29 million deal in June 2015, shortly before Klopp succeeded Brendan Rodgers in the dugout.

Firmino has become a key figure under the German, who admits his surprise that the Reds were able to sign up the versatile attacking midfielder for a relative steal before bigger sides made their moves.

"The first thing I did when I left Dortmund [was] I took my phone and deleted all the numbers so I was not reachable," Klopp told the press, "so I didn't speak to anyone to offer advice, about Firmino or anyone else.

"Nobody asked me about him but he was a player I thought was one of the best in the Bundesliga so, when I saw that Liverpool had signed him, I thought: 'How could Liverpool do this?'

"They were not in their 100 per cent best moment and other clubs would have spent more on him so I thought immediately: 'What a good transfer for them.' I thought they had made a good signing because I felt pretty sure clubs would have paid a lot more for him.

"I can see, in the Premier League, you cannot have the perfect overview of the Bundesliga and, in the Bundesliga, you cannot have the perfect overview of the Premier League. So you can know the Champions League and the players who are top-class but there are so many good players you cannot know, only if you watch each game at the weekend.

"That is normal and a lot of people thought: 'Hoffenheim, where is this? That is a lot of money.' [Even] in Germany some people don't know where it is but, if you play your football there, then you feel it is a tough place and so you know what a decent job the scout did, whoever brought him in for that price.

"When I knew I was coming here I knew I had a good player – I was looking forward to working with him very much. He is happy so he doesn't care about getting more credit or recognition.

"Of course he is very important because he can play all three positions in our system and, in our system, I'm sure he could play as the No.8 too, like Gini [Wijnaldum], like Phil [Coutinho], like Emre [Can].

"He is different but he can play there. He is a very important player, a connecting player, a finisher, a fighter, a defender, the first defender – that is important. A lot of things he is good at are very important for us.

"He's still a good listener and a good trainer. He likes to train, he likes to learn, so that is excellent, a nice package."
