I just got back from the D&P, it emptied quite quickly after City's 4th 🙂 I'm considering selling the liability in the bet i.e. £300 but I'll think about during the week. IMO City should now be odds-on and I would lay the liability @ 1.8-1.9 ut not sure I want to lay at 2.24. Having said that, it's tempting to get my stake money back and still leave a potential £500+ profit if they prevail.

Hope QPR comes off for you, Ian has them as well for a potential £100 profit.

It's the worst feeling when you intend doing a bet, forget, and then have to watch your hunch stroll in.

I was watching TV with my GF on Friday night and had intended laying Accrington beating Cheltenham. I had the laptop open as we watched telly and she found it most amusing that I spent 10 minutes moaning about the fact that Cheltenham had left their 2 best forwards (Duffy & Goulding) on the bench which stopped me betting on them. She found it even more amusing when I kept pressing refresh for score updates and saw the following "38 minutes tactical substitution Goulding on for Spencer" followed immediately by "39 minutes goal scored by Goulding". I was fucking livid, stupid original team selection cost me at least a £60 profit.

This weekend was a killer for me. First, I backed overs in Barca game that ended 0-0 (which happens once in a blue moon), then layed City because I thought Scum would get a result at home. Finally, I backed Chelsea at odds 1.95 just after they conceded and then Bosingwa got a red card. I also contemplated backing Levante away to Villarreal (odds 4,2) but gave up. Pity, because they won 3-0. Some weird results, coupled with wrong decisions...

But my bank was small anyway so it's not a big deal. And 6-1 scoreline was worth every penny 😉

Very strange prices in the first goalscorer markey in the Aldershot V United game. I realise that United are far more likely to score first BUT Aldershot are very good going forward and it wouldn't totally surprise me if they scored first. Given that, the prices on Rankine(Aldershot's main striker) and Rodman (attacking right midfield) are VERY wrong. Rodman @ 40/1 is bizarre (IMO he should be 25/1 maximum) and Rankine (who also takes the penalties) should be no more than 16/1.Danny Hylton is their top scorer and 17/1 is a decent price but not huge value.

I've had a very good start to the season so I've gone out on a bit ofa limb here with some decent sized bets considering I still believe United will probably still score first, but value-is-value.

£68 lay of Newcastle winning at Blackburn to win £41.

Usually I don't bet until I see the team news but I doubt this price (2.64) will be available later. I know Tiote & S. Taylor are both out tonight and Newcastle will probably rest a few other players. Even if they don't, I'm still not convinced about Newcastle this season and they should be at least 2.8 IMO.

I might move this bet over to the 3% challenge later, I'll decide before kick-off.


Edit: the price on Newcastle winning keeps contracting which makes little sense, it's down to 2.48 so I'm continuint to lay because IMO the price is "wrong".

£167 profit on Blackburn or the draw - £255 liability on newcastle.

Edit: Right, I layed more until I got to a £375 liability, so now that the price has "corrected" to 2.74ish my overall liability is £200 and potential profit is £150* (these amounts include my 3% bet of £55/£40)
