It’s much more likely that this particular owner shares heritage with Ange, wants attacking football and wants trophies.

Tick
Tick
Tick

Pity for Ange he’s working for someone who seems quite volatile and not particularly patient.
Ange at Forest ? Sacked before Xmas is my guess.

I reckon Amorim will go and get replaced by Santo who will steady the ship.

I’d rather replaced with Rooney and sink the ship. 😜

Thing is - I don’t think they’d cope well with a defensive manager - I’d be more worried if they sack Amorim and go for someone like Howe, Iraola or Glasner.

Glasner has to be a front runner. He'll be cheapest to get, combined with decent football

You have to wonder if he'd accept the job at this point. He probably would, but it wouldn't be a certainty.

In other news, Sheff U hired Chris Wilder again.
Fucking hell, what is going on at that club?

And he keeps going back...

It won't help. Amorim or no Amorim, it's fundamentally that poisonous dressing-room which has struck again and will keep doing so until they clean it right out and start again from scratch. How they do *that* without getting relegated, I don't know.

You love to see it.

Benfica considering being the next club to contribute to the Mourinho retirement fund with a severance payment within the next 2 years.

Honestly, I can't stop laughing. I thought I felt badly for them. Three united managers fired this month. I actually wanted them to win a game recently. That's how far they have fallen.

I can actually see them getting relegated. Their manager rocking back and forth in the dugout during the game vs Giants of English football, Grimsby FC, and the rain man impression with the magnets has ruined Amorim. IT's just a matter of time, before he also heads to the golden guillotine.

The club is buying big and and getting worse. New managers, new players, it doesn't seem to make a difference. It's in a toxic spiral and no-one knows how to fix it. And we are on the rise (for now). It's like - for a short while - that the 80s are back! 🤣 🤣

I think so too, the funniest thing is that he actually comes across as a decent guy and probably the most sensible person at the club but he seems completely cursed and ruined, a walking corpse of a manager

I think Amorim realised from very early on that you can't polish a turd at Old Toilet any more than elsewhere, so he tried to confront the dressing-room problems and muck the stables out. The fact that he hasn't managed it is far more a judgment on the general mess that club's fallen into than it is a judgment on him IMO. They've needed a dose of Ex-Lax through them for a very long time, and it was always going to get worse before getting better when someone - it's turned out to be Amorim - made a brave attempt to administer the necessary medicine.

I'm almost disappointed in myself for how much I'm enjoying the spectacle. Almost.

I think he's been incredibly foolish tbh. Made no attempt to get short term results last season when his precious system had no realistic chance of working, so put himself under huge pressure at the start of this season. Been far far too honest to the press. Ruined the reputation of guys like Rashford and Garnacho who should have been their most saleable assets.

It's been an absolutely textbook demonstration of how not to pick your battles.

I get where you're coming from with that, but I don't agree. I reckon he decided (rightly in my view) that he wasn't going to get a tune out of that bunch of wasters because no-one will, system or no system, and that taking them on was the only alternative left. Rashford and Garnacho ruined their own reputations IMO, Rashford especially as he basically went walkabout for the past couple of seasons there. Tiptoeing around the problem has been tried - repeatedly - and failed under a succession of managers before Amorim. They need nothing short of a revolution there.

It’s fucking lovely.

Both West Ham and Wolves are losing. Wolves are not coming back from being 3-1 down.
He has lost all his games, its the end for him

He literally signed a new contract last week, so I doubt it. Thankfully not every owner in this league is a fucking halfwit like that fat blob at Forest.
