I might be wrong but Kenny always seems very stubborn and single minded to me ....selling Carroll and taking the media shite for it would really piss him off . No matter what your stance when he arrived, thinking he would become a legend or a flop, I don't think anybody could imagine Carroll's level of performance being so poor.
I was hopeful, he has some great attributes but despite this he doesn't fit. Cut our losses while we can. I'd also feel pretty bad for the lad but it'd do him good to go.

He's been spending a load of time in Newcastle as he hasnt settled here very well so a move would suit him down to the ground. It's not as simple as that though and for £15m ? The Geordies can fuck right off. Don't have the front to say he's worth £35m and then turn round and offer £15m 12 months late. Cheeky cunts but I'd expect from a gobshite like that Lambias or whatever the fuck his name is. Wouldnt even entertain that. We need to make it clear to Newcastle and to Carroll what an acceptable selling price is and remind the latter that, if that price isnt met, then he's stuck here so he'd best knuckle down and stop behaving like a teenager let out for the first time and actually make something out of his careeer. I really don't understand this, Newcastle is only 174 miles away from Liverpool. It's not like he moved across the world. Are the cities really all that different?

anything between 15-20m and i'd take it . i don't care of the principle or newcastle taking the piss, we shafted ourselves with this transfer and now have to try and salvage something from it . From the moment he signed we knew he was not worth anything like we paid and if it didn't work there'd be nobody to buy him . Newcastle are probably our only hope .

Understand what you say Kenny but I don't think £15m will make us sell him. We've invested heavily in this lad and that kind of money (£15m) isn't going to make us sell IMO. So he either sorts his shit out and starts to do the right things or someone offers us a deal that repays some of that investment. Bad signing from day one. I can see the potential there but he hasn't got the right attitude for me.

Yep someone did. This was a massive panic buy. Regardless of this, we need a striker who can score goals. Players like that Gomis are simply not good enough and are not the answer.

I think with a 22yr old there is something to work with and we can wait more than year to decide matters. He has talent but needs to be taught a more professional outlook for his career. It would cost a lot less than suffering a loss on the fee running into millions.
In the meantime we need another striker anyway. It seems the club don't need to sell to buy, so we can manage this situation in our own time.

Imagine if Ryan showed Carroll the same patience as he did with Lucas.
He's been disappointing so far this Season agreed but come on, he's not the first and nor the last player that needs time to adjust. In Carroll's case not only to a new style of football, a new club but also the fact he's suddenly one of the worlds most expensive players ever. Only because of Chelski's silly money but still, that's a fact, and something that'll probably take the breath out of most when it first settles in.
Give the lad at least some time to adjust and perhaps who knows he'll might one day turn good. Like Lucas has seemingly done after years and years of mediocrity. The new Gerrard he was NOT but he's still turned out very useful.

The fact that we consider less than half of the fee we paid only 12 months ago to be the maximum we could get for him now shows you what a total fucking disaster he has been, I cant stand him, he is everything thats wrong with modern football, he has achieved nothing in the game and he swans around like hes Thierry Henry going back to unveil his statue outside the Emirates, he doesnt give a fuck.
