ye his movement is one of the worst things about him imo. a lot of the time youl see him drop back to get the ball, pass it to somebody thats running up and he moves to the wing, the fucking wing!!! we've got enough shit wingers without him setting himself up there. i honestly think, at the moment, youd be hard pressed to find another striker that contributes as little as he does when playing a full game.

I agree with Tony.
The lack of desire he shows to get into the box is what annoys me the most. Three times yesterday that I can recall, the player on the wing looked up to see Gerrard & Henderson making forward runs, whilst fuck nuts just fucking trots into the area at a snails pace. Fuck that. That can't be tolerated, it just can't be.
I only hope Martin O'Neill keeps winning games at Sunderland and convinces the board to buy him from us. He'll pay good money for him, he always pays top dollar for English internationals. Thing is, with his man management skills, he'd probably get the sack of shit scoring again. That said, he'd probably never sign for them cos he's such a die hard Geordie. Who else would buy him, 'Arry?

Much as I dislike the last part of this post there's a lot of sense. A good manager identifies the team's needs and then gets the best out of his players. Kenny has done that well in the past, he certainly was getting better performances out of players last season. I understand there is frustration with Carroll and Downing, I understand this is compounded by a less-than-evident determination on Carroll's part to put things right, but we can become a hugely improved team if we can get the best out of these two players. That should be the fervent hope of all LFC fans. Again I understand the frustration, but trying to outdo each other in vituperative comments seems pointless and a waste of time. While they wear the red I'll be hoping they improve. Hopefully that doesn't offend anyone too much.

He did OK in the first half yesterday but as Gary said, it's wrong to single him out when everyone was poor yesterday.
In fairness we never give him in the ball in front of goal. He always plays with his back to goal and the service from wide areas has been dreadful.
I can only think of one good cross to him was when he smashed it against the bar when we beat Newcastle.
The 'shot' he completley missed yesterday though was terrible. No excuse for that, or the heavy first touch.

In fairness it was something we used to do all through the glory days. What we have to make sure of is that we get the right ones.
