We need Agger, despite the injury problems, he's been alot better on that note this season, and look at RVP.
I'd go with:
Adam - I think he's finished anyway, I do like him but I just don't think he physically cuts it at this level
Maxi - I don't want to see him leave really, and if another manager came in he might appreciate his talents more, but he's the wrong side of 30 and wants to play regularly.
Aurelio - Good player, terrible injury record. Promote young Robbo and be on the look out for a left back
Downing - While we can still get back something reasonable for him it might be worth it, though we're incredibly short on numbers outwide.
I'd be tempted to go with Carroll, despite him showing improvement, if someone would pay £20m for him then it's worth taking, despite the loss. He's been poor overall and as seen on Saturday, he needs half a dozen chances before he puts one away. I tend to take Keni's view on him and the likes of Kuyt though, if we're not going to get a decent fee we may aswell see if they can be kept as squad players.
I don't think the squad is great, but I do think it could have been utilised alot better and too many times Kenny has got it horribly wrong. What is wrong at all with the idea of playing Shelvey for the rest of the season and putting Sterling on the bench? I don't get the over protection when the same players who've let us down all season get a reprieve time and time again.
