2-0

Comfortable and going into the break 5 points clear and +6GD

Good win

Villa were very passive despite being behind for a long while, just waiting for us to make a mistake

So that was the first time this season that at full time I genuinely believed that were Klopp still here , we'd have dropped points tonight.

We kill the game for 5/10 min periods like Citeh and Utd in the 90s used to, game management is INFINITELY better.

Arne Slot has absolutely blown me away, what a beautiful bald bastard

2-0, great win and a very good performance. Ibou and Virgil monstrous. Gravy fantastic.

And Kelleher. Wow. At this point does Ali even go straight into the first eleven??!!

Top of the league baby. Brighton whopping the cheats to top of a beautiful Saturday evening.

Hopefully we see a few tests after the international break because Villa weren't it.

I thought that was totally a Klopp game. Not that much control, killed them with counters and times we (the fans) shit ourselves needing a top keeping performance.

All in all an outstanding run of games since the last international break.

Huge statement win today. Villa were tired but we controlled the ball so well second half.

Salah yet again scores and assists in a game and would have another if Nunez had composure in front of goal.

Gravy sensational and Ibou brilliant.

Jones is so important to our midfield too atm, his energy, running and press resistance is off the charts, Gini levels with more forward impetus.

5pts clear +6gd, vs our closest rival who is struggling.

Top of the CL with the only 100% record.

Q/F of the league cup.

Stuff of dreams after Klopp leaving.

I still don’t think we’ll have the squad depth to win the league but amazing to not be in a debate about whether Slot needs more time or not already which was already the case with Hodgeson by now!

Next Prem home game against a crumbling City…we’re going to be streaking clear by Christmas.

What is it with so many of you that keepsaying...its like a Klopp game because we scored from counter attacking. I am pretty sure that a counter attacking goal under most manners pre Klopp looked exactly like what it did tonight. Kind of sick of these comparisons.

Salah the only player in the top leagues in Europe with double digits with both goals and assists so far this season.

17 games - 20 G/

New Liverpool record.

Very pleasing win. Good performance, great atmosphere and 5 points clear!

Villa turned up today today and put in a much improved performance. With Villa sitting back it was going to come down to moments and we were just able to create more. Ideally we would have put the game to bed earlier with Nunez taking one or those other two chances, but what's new? On we go.

Agree Gravy MOM for me
Goals and assists win games.

When you set up the opening (and should have a player sent off) and score the other 2nd against one of your biggest rivals then you are the MOTM.

Gravy was great too but has to be Salah.

I missed the game as I was out for a meal with friends. Overall another impressive performance then?

Didn't Gravy start two counter attacks and got chopped down?

Villa are very compact, we creating very little when it wasn’t a counter of a fast transition. Any sustained period of possession didn’t lead to changes which was mainly down to how well they were set up.

Btw, how the fuck is anyone supposed to beat Virgil, he’s insanely good at everything.

Great to see Robbo put in a great display and if not for poor Nunez finishing he’d have added an assist too with that delicious cross.
