No.

I didn't want them to sack Kenny, but i can understand why they have. Now it's down to them to get the next appointment spot on and to supply them with the funds needed to move us forward.

i'm gutted for kenny but i'm encouraged by their decision as it appears ambitious. until we get a shit manager in and then it will appear clueless.

No manager, asst manager, DoF, comms director, proper CEO. They've no idea what to do, seriously worrying

This is only one of many decisions that will determine the answer to the question.

It's about who they will replace him with, what sort of backing he'll get, what expectations will bevplaced upon him and how long he'll get.

You can't really answer the question posed without knowing these answers as well.

I see what you mean StevieM but then after we get a replacement people can say "you can't really judge FSG until the new set-up has had a year or two" and on it goes....

I think it's fair enough to just ask people how their attitude to FSG has changed over the last 12 months or so.

I'd say the opposite - no-one rips a senior management team apart without either planning to do it or having an idea of how to manage the process of doing it.

I'm not sure thats true to be honest mate.

The sackings in these positions have only recently taken place, we'll have to wait and see what impact the new people have before saying they've no idea imo (for what it's worth).

We can't go on like this with reagrds to getting rid of people mind, they simply have to nail it this time around.

I agree. I don't like what they have done at all, but they must have some kind of plan. Whether that plan is any better remains to be seen.

It's always been pretty obvious they're a bunch of egotistical dickheads who are used to a lot of success.

Clueless and without any kind of direction

I don't think that's true, it's certainly not proven either way yet Sunny. I loved Kenny and still believe and maintain that he deserved another year, but their massive clearout is also particularly brave, they're clearly unhappy with how things have been run, and there's plenty of evidence to back that stance commercially, publicly and in terms of on the pitch. We've been a disaster in many respects for far too long. And I don't blame Kenny for that, or Hodge Podge really, the rot had already set in long before, through years of taking one step forward and two steps back. We've been our own worst enemies at times over the last two decades. While this might end up just being a continuation of that, it could also be a case of someone showing some balls and dragging us forward, starting afresh and looking for a new approach with a view to edging back closer to where we where.

I'm gutted today, but I think they've made some brave decisions and one can only hope right now.

I am right behind them. I think they have acted swiftly and decisively , and thank God they did. Kenny was the right man to bring in at the time to unite the whole club, after years if us tearing ourselves apart.
It should have always been a temporary role, what has come to pass is everything expected to happen , but hoped against hope wouldn't. Clearly Kenny was not the man for the job, tactics team selection handling if players all the basics wrong, and his handling of the media was awful, he could not get away with what he once did. He took us for fools too with all this we deserved more and the players could not do any more, up to the end he was still telling us what a great season it had been.
Sorry, I worshiped the guy as a player and as a man and this fucking hurts, but it had to be done. They really do need to get the next bit right.

I have two views of FSG, on the one hand I am pissed off with the kneejerk manner in which they have sacked the manager but on the other hand, to be totally fair to them they gave kenny and comolli 100m and the signings (with a couple of expections) competely and utterly flies in the face of moneyball/sabremetrics, they could right say to kenny and comolli and say, 'WTF?! we gave you a brief and the signings are diametrically opposed to that brief!'

The only faith anyone can have in FSG is blind faith. There's absolutely no sound objective empirical reason to have any rational faith in what they've done in the past few months. You might as well stare at an ink blot.

They've removed the entire structure of the club & haven't acted to replace it.

Clueless is being kind.

At the moment they seem inept at best.

For the record this is the same answer I'd have given before they sacked Kenny too. The fact they sacked Roy & appointed Kenny in fact proves they are not at the races. Or maybe they are, at their nascar races, ignoring us.

They removed it today Jon. I understand the concern, but lets see what ideas they've got first. I'm as gutted as anyone btw, but alot of people are also jumping to conclusions atm.

as I said in my earlier post, to be fair to them if you look at their MO at the red soxs the way we spent their money flies in the face of what they've done in the past. if the signings had worked out then the manager could have said forget about how you did business for the red sox but unfortuntely the signings were a disaster and they can feel at least a 'little' justified in their actions.

They're just landlords. Fuck them. The moment they think we're at the height of our worth they'll sell us to the next tyrant that made a billion in whatever commodity bubble just exploded.
