I watched the game and was struck by the fact that United players are completely shit devoid of ability.

Marilyn Fellatio is a complete dog egg for what they paid for him. It's like watching a div 2 clogger
 
I was more struck by the fact I thought that our team could have given Bayern a game.

It would have been similar to the Everton game. We'd have set up to draw them in, then unleashed Suarez Sturridge or Sterling with a long floating ball time & again.

Yes, we could have taken them, certainly on that form. Mind you, since Chelsea, it's as if Pep's teams accept a handicap: "okay, you're playing an English team, so remember - no thinking!"
 
From reading the reports it seems that both Valencia and Schweinsteiger should've been sent off. I clearly remember the Valencia incident. I thought however that Schweinsteiger won the ball and wasn't even a foul, let alone anything else. But then I reckoned I must've missed something because I was the only one. But now when I see the replay I'm convinced it was a good tackle from Schweinsteiger. Ok, maybe it's reckless, but a definite ball winning tackle.

Looking at that Vine, it was never a sending off.
 
Im not sure I agree, yes he won the ball, but he went it with both feet with studs showing. It was a dangerous tackle.

I don't think Rooney dived either, what could he do but try and avoid the tackle? Is he supposed to keep going and get a leg broken? Yes, he jumped over the tackle and fell, what else could he really do?

Buy maybe I need to see a longer clip...

By this logic the Sturridge incident against United wasn't a dive either.
 
I can understand why he fell. He had no choice. But why was he so theatrical about it? I can't remember now but was he appealing for a free? He's a fat cunt. And Andy Townsend is another cunt. His bias toward Utd at that moment was pathetic.
 
It looked more to me like a "Oh, a leg! I'm fallin' over it!" move to me. That body arch back gives it away. Nobody falls like that Platoon guy when tripped.
 
Just ask yourself what the reaction would have been if it was Robben doing that at the other end.

Then just put it out of your mind and start concentrating on West Ham.

There was a revealing thing that landed in ITV's lap last night and, predictably, they completely ignored it. Their interviewer asked exactly the same question of Vidic and Moyes: 'How do you explain the difference in performance against Bayern and against Liverpool?' Vidic immediately calmly offered up a set of clear tactical reasons. Moyes, on the other hand, said: 'It's a bit of a mystery, it's hard to know'.

I didn't see the aftermath, so that could sway my opinion, but I didn't see anything wrong from that short clip.

I agree with everything else you say.

ITV get really snappy whenever anything 'disloyal' to English clubs is encountered. Except, of course, this widely reported story which for some bizarre reason upset no one outside of half of Merseyside:

Rooney's nowhere near athletic enough to dive convincingly. And, as this actual x-ray shows, his brain is even slower to react:

It is amazing how quick Moyes has lowered all United fans expectations. I saw the game with two United supporting friends, and when commenting how ridicoulous low they were in the first half my friends said it was the way it had to be. It was Bayern, and they were probably played this low....

It's not fair a tackle to go in with both feet, with studs showing, when there's a player nearby. I think you're letting bias cloud your judgement.

It's not, and shouldn't be a case, that if you win the ball, that it's a fair tackle no matter what. It was dangerous play, if he was in more control of the tackle(one foot only) then it'd be fine.
