We played a team who are still in a chance of Europe after the team have spent a good time in Dubai and a manager who went to Ibiza. Then threw out a team who seemed to lack that chemistry together. Yet still scored twice and should’ve scored more.

No need to get upset. No need to say X, Y or Z isn’t good enough. That wasn’t a true test for us given the preparation. Yet one of the better sides in the league struggled to beat us.

I just looked. Yep. Still champions.

@mark1975
Personally I thought he was awful, as were the rest of the fringe
He really wasn't. There were plenty who were though.

As for Salah and how Nunez would have got shit for that miss, well theres a reason for that @Frogfish, it doesnt take a genius to work out.

What the fuck you blathering on about ... again. He was utter shite in this game, the fact he has 150 G/A over the rest of the season doesn't excuse a pathetic miss (or two) like that and it's hypocrisy to jump all over other players (Nunez, Diaz the most popular whipping boys this season) and then bury your head in the sand when your hero does it.

He can still be called out for it - it doesn't negate what else he's done and it doesn't take a genius to work that out.

Post match analysis (admittedly, I only had half an eye on the game). But from what I saw:

Still question marks, for me, over Quansah are 3rd choice, Bradley as 1st choice (why does he need to always come off?) and Elliott as more than just a sub when we're losing.

We need a new LB and another CB, and probably 2 more forward options (selling Chiesa + Nunez).

We are protecting Bradley. Working on his overall fitness and conditioning. That’s why I think he is coming off.

meh, sky seem desperate to shower brighton with praise almost to the point of feeling like minnows won an FA cup tie against us.

slot wanted to break 90 points imo but after the previous few games i think he has realised you can’t stop the couple of percent dropoff that’ll cost points.

i’m sure we’ll do an end of season player rating thread but this game has reminded me that curtis probably hasnt made the progress many of us hoped and elliott has shifted gear into reverse

I also wonder how good Konate is without Van Dijk alongside him?
He was very poor tonight.
I wouldn't be overly surprised if he goes this summer
So then we'd need at 2 least CBs and the one we probably thought was generational (Huijsen) and very affordable has gone to Madrid already.

I am certainly not looking to sell but if he is stalling on a contract extension it is certainly something we should consider

cannot get close to players, cannot get away from them
only position is as a ten, but he is not good enough to play there at liverpool
I like him, but only see him as a sub. My point really was that too much weight is given to goals and assists, and I’ve said it for years. There’s no point posting numbers if it upsets the rest of the function of the side.

His pressing was an asset a number of seasons ago but even that seems to have diminished recently,
He has definitely regressed this season in my opinion
I say that as a (former) fan

Another unpopular opinion maybe but I think Quansah needs to go. I just don't think he has "it".
He's a decent defender and maybe a good 4th option, but he panics in the box. It just feels like chaos sometimes.
I think you're right, we should buy two defenders and send him out on loan so that he gets more experience.

Maybe - but he did OK today until that moment for the 3rd goal, but Konate did not really do himself any good leading up to that goal as the analysis showed on SkySports. Today was proof of a few things:

1) Konate is not the man without VVD
2) Elliot in midfield as a 10 is not going to work, we just got over-run too many times, highlighting why we need an energy/physical presence of some kind and why Szobo has been key for us.
3) Diaz was his best prick self
4) Nunez needs to go
5) Chiesa was getting knocked off the ball too much.
6) Q - I really don't know - I am broken between us having to spend 50M+ on a defender and hoping Q can perform like he did majority of last season.
