Post Match Arsenal (H) 2-2 Sunday April 17th

I asked because I genuinely couldn't understand your reasoning. It didn't make any sense to me. That seems like part of a normal back and forth to me.

I think I do understand now (you seem to think LFC were miffed about Trent and wouldn't negotiate out of spite, and Trent releasing the info would force their hand (for some mysterious unstated reason)). Ok then, given that your view of the situation is clearly deranged, there's really nothing more to say.
And you will rather believe Trent randomly chose a date to announce his departure? And we are on amiable terms with Real after they have poached the 3rd high profile player from us? Talk about being deranged. 🤣

I have no idea WTF you are on about ! Are you putting words into my mouth?
I'm replying to a common theme used by those who have been overreacting to our performances since the Spurs match... You may not have said it yourself, but if you've been on the threads, you seen it.

Well you didn't use an abstract generalisation, you specifically said ... "and before you ..." so you can now understand my confusion since that isn't anything I've ever said.

You only didn't say it because he told you not to. Weak.

Before you say "hey, why are you jumping in here, go back to work" you should realize that I don't want to. "Before you reply, well, that's unassailable logic, what a valuable contributor and all around top red you are" you should realize that Whaddapie dm'd me this whole comment.

You guys really don't think that Frimpong, the older dutch guy with more technical ability isn't going to start games over Bradley?

I don't think Slot has time for youth in the same way as Klopp. That's not a criticism by the way.

If Frimpong is as defensively weak as all the BL fans are saying I can't see how he'd be a starting RB in the PL, a far stronger league. He'd be great against teams we dominate, when we need a goal, to sub./replace Mo., start in cups etc. and start in Mo's place during AFCON. that a ton of appearances.

But Trent is as defensively weak and started over Bradley.

So a few days after the event ... my biggest gripe now is all the namby pamby sycophantic shite coming out of podcasts and local pundits.

I've lost count of how many times I have heard "of course we can't tell Liverpool fans how they should feel & react" - that was the right thing for Robbo, Slot & the club to say but for everyone else, stop being pricks & just say "you were all cunts for booing him", or "all those who didn't boo him are cunts"; I don't care which side they are on, just fucking say it & stop trying to be so fucking "correct".

For my part, everyone who booed him is a cunt ... so hang me

Nobody's hanging you, Tom. Many just disagree. What's the problem?

Klopp would have been pissed off and he definitely would have expressed his feelings to the crowd during and after the game.

No problem with you or even most others on the forum. My problem is with the self righteous pundits & podcasts who start off every discussion with "of course we can't tell Liverpool fans how to think" ... it's coming out parrot fashion from all of them, and they all say it as if it as an original individual thought

They don't want to alienate a fanbase. Never stopped them before so its weird they're doing it now

Yeah there are standards. To me it's like if people were singing Munich songs or booing minute's silences - it's not just some freedom of expression issue.

I think it started with Carra didn't it, who said we shouldn't tell fans how to feel, which of course is slightly different anyway. But in its way even that was a cop out - he just used that line as a way of avoiding judging Trent for his actions. If you can say that Liverpool fans are some breed apart and have some kind of mysterious reasoning process, you can avoid addressing the fundamental question of whether any anger is justified by Trent's behaviour.

I think deep down Carra himself thinks Trent is partly culpable but just doesn't want to say it.
