Post Match Arsenal (H) 2-2 Sunday April 17th

The winger cut in and crossed - it happens frequently to FBs, the advantage always with the winger because he knows what he's going to do which gives him the 1/2m required. The bigger issue was where the fuck were Konate and VvD? Martinelli had 5m space on either side of him.
Exactly... Bradley won't be able to stop every cross and it's not as if Martinelli is Oliver Bierhoff.

As for Trent, FAFO. He’s urinated on his own legacy by running down his contract on the sly.

Booing is to be expected. Amazed Virgil didn’t trying to tamp it down. But glad. You shouldn’t get to pull a sly one and the ask the fans to be ok with it.

I thought all 3 of them were shit and lazy for the goal

Once again we forget there's 2 halves to a game of football and only turn up to 1. A mental deficiency we haven't been able to erase 36 games into the season.

If we can win the title again being this sloppy and careless, then great....but I somehow don't think it'll be as easy.

Slot probably thought Liverpool fans weren’t the cunts we accuse other fans of being. 😜

Showing your disapproval of a player many feel let down by and almost an act of betrayal isn't being a cunt, it's just expressing your disapproval.

If a player can't handle some boos being rung about (which he knew was coming) then that probably says more about him or other fans that feel offended on his behalf.

& this is coming from someone who doesn't sit on either side. In fact if I had to pick one, I'd ask the question why the club would let a player they had every intention of keeping.....enter the 6 months of their contract.

At 14.50 Owen talks about his move to Madrid and how it compares to Trent

Honestly, after listening to him talking about the emotions he felt about not being loved etc and needing support from friend and family, I'm surprised that he isn't saying that Trent is making a mistake.

Same here, I am annoyed that he is going to Madrid, because with his talent Madrid might be able to justify Mbappe and VJ in the same team, and without him pinging those balls I see them sufferring a bit. Also, we are 6x UCL champions, its a big thing, Madrid have it easy in their own league which allows them to go all out for a UCL nearly every season, in their first Galactico attempt with Zizou, Becks, R9 they won fuck all CLtitles in 5 seasons, I am hoping for the same. They and we are Direct European Rivals, they know it.

As for Trent leaving, well I am more than happy, unlike so many of you on here and other fans, I think he has been hit and miss for the last 3 seasons. I want the assurance of a competent RB that has pace and can recover well defensively. Not been horrible at what he has given us over the years, but I cannot watch 90s mins of football hoping a hollywood ball from him leads to something that wins us a game, while accepting his defensive lapses.

The best revenge being a life well lived is lost on some people I guess.

That richarlison moment showed you can hate from a place of joy, but I don't think feeling aggrieved or betrayed works the same way.

I would just like us to win now. Even with games that don't matter, winning makes things easier and people more forgiving.

Champions! Great first half and not very good 2nd. Not bothered though.

I can understand being careful with Bradley but can’t agree with subbing Trent on.
Either way, if fans want to boo him for being a cunt then be my guest.

He shouldn’t be in the squad for the last two games. Let Gomez get some minutes off the bench.

Decent first half, passive second, shite subs. Slot making a schoolboy error bringing Trent on, as that immediate changes the mood, and the fucker played merino on for the equaliser

Our fans were not booing out of hatred. They were preparing Trent for what awaits him in La Liga after YerMa runs him ragged for the first 30 minutes in the next classico. They were doing it out of love.

That Skelly cunt does my head in… grabs hold of Mo all game but if you so much as look at him he’s on the floor.

How can you be that much of a cynical cunt at 18?

Didn’t clap at the guard of honour either. Very weird behaviour.
Overrated, diver and a massive cunt at 18. Typical Arsenal.

The emoji was supposed to suggest I wasn’t being entirely serious.

Booing was inevitable.

the only thing it reinforces is Liverpool fans are no different to any other fans in the worldz

Which is also fine as long as we don’t try to pretend we’re somehow “better” - we aren’t.

Don’t think it’s got anything to do with being better. It’s just a normal reaction. The Main stand was in general clapping and the Kop booed.
I liked Robertson’s response post match.
Everyone is entitled to react like they feel and want to. Let’s move on.

Oh ok, well my bad.

I would replace better with more passionate, for better or worse.

A Stevie or Kenny will be adored far more by Liverpool fans than a Lampard or Terry will be at Chelsea or a Vieira or Henry at Arsenal.

Likewise a player like Owen and Trent will be loathed more than a.....Van Persie, Gallas, Cole etc.

The Gerrard and the Bradley chants were sufficient. I was disappointed with the crowds response, TBH, but the world keeps spinning.

Or maybe he wanted the boos from all the fickle dickheads out the way before the parade
I don’t think the boos are going away unfortunately. One of the consequences of doing what he did was always this. I don’t think you can blame any fans that have acted the way they have. It’s a reaction. They weren’t the cause.

I don't understand why Trent didn't just wait until the parade was done. Announcing it now has put a real cloud over these last few games.

He's a fucking idiot.
Must have been under pressure from his new employers? They want him to play in that competition in June and negotiations needed to start to end his contract with us earlier so he can officially play in white.

Everything is orchestrated.

I’m not sure that’s true to be honest.

I think we like to think of ourselves as more passionate - but we aren’t.

I couldn’t tell what most fans think of their players past or present, but one I do know for sure, if you think Spurs fans don’t have a level of hatred reserved for Sol Campbell far in excess of anything we could ever have for Trent, then you’d be wrong.

Trent would have to be moving for free directly to a successful Man Utd in his peak years to top Sol Campbel - which thankfully will never happen… mainly because Utd are shit.

It had to have been planned.

I don’t know what the motive was, but Slot must have known the kind of reception Trent would get at Anfield.

What seals it for me is the post-match comment.
One of the cringiest, most blatant PR, damage-control lines I’ve ever heard as an LFC fan:

"The good thing about living in Europe is that everyone can have their view and express it how they want."

He delivered it verbatim—in the Sky post-match interview, the BBC interview and the post-match presser. I bet there's more.

And it’s obvious the entire team got the same memo, because Robbo repeated the same sanitized nonsense, just with his own spin.

Honestly? I couldn’t care less if Trent got booed. But I do wish just one player had the guts to speak their mind. If Trent’s your mate and you didn’t like the crowd’s reaction, say it!

"Trent didn’t deserve that."

Not this calculated, agnostic, toe-the-line corporate drivel.
